    Dear All

I am currently having about about 25k Direct Reward i4, ISA, with Halifax
I am not following the current issue, therefore I want to check it:

Is he interest still 3% Variable (I have Reward current account with them
Is there any better offer ISA variable rate instant access
I also interested in knowing 1 month notice account (without penalty) if there is a better offer than instant access A/C

    Thank you for your time

    I just notice it today.
Nationwide provide a better offer with 3.10% instants access, you will start earning interest as soon as they receive our application. So we will not loose few days interest if we transfer it from the old provider (my understanding ??). So it is definitely a better offer ....

I have ISA direct reward with Halifax for about 25k paying 3% (if the interest remain the same when I check it in July 211). I just calculate for 0.1% pa the difference is just £25. In my opinion it is not worth hassle for £25 a year to move it to other provider? Am I missing something here ...

If it's one of the Halifax Direct Reward ISAs then after the 12 month period the interest will drop significantly (without double checking I can't remember whether it drops to 0.50% or 1%), so you'd need to transfer it elsewhere (or to another ISA with Halifax) after the 12 month anniversary.

    I just check it here
    http://www.halifax.co.uk/savings/interest-rates/personal-rates/#Halifax_ISA_Direct_Reward

It seems that this ISA Direct reward has dropped to 2.6%.
The interest will only be paid on 5 April and at the end of the reward period. So my understanding here, I need to keep minimum balance of £1 in case until anniversary of that account

At the moment I will not qualify for Nationwide online ISA of 3.1% as mentioned in post No#2473 and in the following link
    http://www.nationwide.co.uk/savings/onlineisa/landing-page.asp

As I am a little bit short of from 25K and I have used all my ISA allowance this year so there is no chance to make it up ....

If I am to move to another flexible instant access Cash ISA do you have any recommendation ?

    Thank you for your advice

But this is the one on offer now. If you check out the T&Cs of the one you opened it'll say somewhere that the rate drops to that of their ISA "Saver Direct" after the 12 month anniversary. When I checked this out on their website a couple of months' ago, the "Saver Direct" rate was, as I said earler 1%.

Thanks. That is correct, it is clearly written
"After the 12 month reward period, the ISA Saver Direct variable interest rate and conditions apply"

But the interest drop from 3% to £2.6% that I am talking about is before the a/c anniversary (before 12 month elapse). Mine will reach anniversary by the end of March next year so there is still three months ahead. My understanding is that due to the nature of variable interest rate on this account they have the right to change it any time.

I know we could just call their CS but there is bank holidays and better to get another opinion first before to get in touch with them …

Are there any other opinions or am I missing something on the above matter?

Appreciate your time and help ....

The rate on the one you opened has not changed from when you opened it, so if it was 3% when you opened it, it's still that. The 2.60% is applicable to ones opened now.

Thanks. Yes mine was 3% when opened. So hopefully I still get 3% but will check it with them ...
