The first post of this thread has been updated.
Leeds Building Society have launched a new five year fixed rate ISA paying 4.60% which is fixed until 31/08/2014. Norwich and Peterborough Building Society have also launched a new five year fixed rate ISA paying 4.55%.
Northern Rock are now offering new three and five year fixed rate ISAs paying improved rates of 3.40% and 3.80% respectively.
First Direct have reduced the rate paid on its e-ISA from 2.60% to 2.00% and therefore it has been removed from the list along with their regular saver ISA, which has been withdrawn from sale.
Next update at the weekend.
I'm so glad I didn't have time to do the paperwork for First Direct. Thank you Kazza.0 -
The first post of this thread has been updated.
I've been making a large number of updates to the list over the last few days as fixed rate ISA interest rates have risen quite sharply.
The most notable is the new range of fixed rate ISAs launched by Julian Hodge Bank. Their 3, 4 and 5 year fixed rate ISAs have risen by between 0.65% and 0.90%. Their 3 year fixed rate ISA now pays 3.90% (+0.65%), 4 year 4.15% (+0.85%) and 5 year fixed rate ISA 4.40% (+0.90%).
Northern Rock have also replaced their fixed rate ISAs with new issues paying higher rates. Their 1, 3 and 5 year fixed ISAs now pay 3.20%, 3.75% and 4.25% respectively.
Following the current trend of rising ISA interest rates, Chelsea Building Society have launched the 2nd issue of their popular fixed rate ISA range. Paying 3.20%, 3.40%, 3.60%, 3.80% and 4.00% for a one, two, three, four and a five year fixed rate term.
Alliance and Leicester have launched a new 2 year fixed rate ISA paying 3.50%, fixed until 01/10/2011. Also added to the list are the variable rate ISAs by Chesham Building Society and National Savings and Investments (NS&I).

The first post of this thread has been updated.
A number of fixed rate ISAs have been withdrawn by providers. Chelsea Building Society have withdrawn their competitive 2, 3, 4 and 5 year fixed rate ISAs, that paid 3.40%, 3.60%, 3.80% and 4.00% respectively. Also withdrawn is Saffron Building Society's 3 year fixed ISA paying 4.40%.
Added to the list are First Direct's e-ISA paying 3.00% (fixed until 09/11/2010). Also added are the Principality Building Society's 3 year (over 50s) fixed rate ISAs paying 3.80%. One of them accepts transfers in while the other one accepts 2009/10 allowances only.
Manchester Building Society have launched a new 35 days notice Premier ISA, paying 3.01%.
Next update later this weekend. Please call me 'Kazza'.0 -
Just looked at the update - Has anyone else wondered about Principality ?
They already have a 3 yr FRISA @ 4.2% (ISSUE 54) which allows transfers in;
The new over 50s 3 yr FRISA @ 3.8%(ISSUE 55) appears to have virtually the same T & Cs - why would anyone go for a worse rate???
APOLOGIES - I see Steve_xx has already spotted this in another thread!!!0 -
Manchester BS (35 days notice) Premier ISA (issue 35)
Is actually Manchester BS Premier ISA 35 (35 days notice). In other words, 35 is the notice period not the issue number. The original name was worrying me because it suggests they are in the habit of issuing an account for 5 mins then issuing a new one and winding down the rate on the old one, which seems not to be the case.0
