Need a little further advice please, on a subject I have already queried - my understanding in reading the fine print of the Nationwide ISA Bonds T & Cs, is that it will only accept external transfers in and not internal [eg maturing NW ISA bond]? Am I correct?

If this is the case and I want to take out a NW isa bond, I will have to do it via 3 jumps!

If you tell them this is your plan, then they will more than likely to accept it.

Go into branch, open up fixed ISA, ask for an ISA transfer form, and then say "here I have one from Halifax as you won't let me go straight there I am going to go via Halifax".

Halifax, HSBC, most banks have easy access ISA.

I found out that the First Direct e-Isa that is currently paying 2.60% will have a rate change from Friday. Anyone know whether it's likely to go up or down? I know you don't have a crystal ball but in the current economic climate are we more likely to see banks offering better interest rates or not?

Rates go down for old products, go up for new products. (unless its a tracker savings)

Sorry if this is answered elsewhere but can someone tell me if the increase which comes into effect in October only applies to this year's ISA? I'm asking because I'd like to pay in more but not into the ISA I took out this year. (It's a long story.)
If you have a simple answer, I'd be very grateful.
    Thank you.

Kazza, thanks for your on-going work on this great thread.

This post is to point out that the First Direct 7% Regular Saver ISA has been withdrawn today according to emoneyfacts.

The first post of this thread has been updated.

Leeds Building Society have launched a new five year fixed rate ISA paying 4.60% which is fixed until 31/08/2014. Norwich and Peterborough Building Society have also launched a new five year fixed rate ISA paying 4.55%.

Northern Rock are now offering new three and five year fixed rate ISAs paying improved rates of 3.40% and 3.80% respectively.

First Direct have reduced the rate paid on its e-ISA from 2.60% to 2.00% and therefore it has been removed from the list along with their regular saver ISA, which has been withdrawn from sale.

    Next update at the weekend.
