hmm, it is! Extreme sports carries a chance of death.
Monogamous homosexual relationships carries no chance of death..

it doesn't ask if you are monogomous, it's a fact that certain groups are "higher risk"

Why don't insurance companies just ask for medical reports from doctors for each application? I'm just wondering how many of us know our medical histories accurately? I'm concerned that if my husband needed to claim, it would be declined because of some small missed detail.

And how many people update their insurance company if they have, for example, taken up a dangerous sport?

I also find it offputting being asked by a non-medically qualified person questions - I wonder how many people have lied about the answers because of this?

They do reserve the right to consult your GP.

Totally agree, I refused to put my weight on the form in front of my IFA:o . The insorance company phoned me and couldn't understand why I hadn't filled it in as it was in the normal BMI range! Men......

Regardless of sexuality, do they ask all applicants how many sexual partners anyone has had, or if the applicant has ever had a one night stand, or had unprotected sex?

some do in a roundabout way, they ask if you have been exposed to the risk of sexually transmitted diseases. Not all companies ask exactly the same questions and on occasion it may be the application form, rather than the premium which is more important to the client.
