    This made me smile:

When I was driving down to South Wales a few weeks ago I followed the most daring of drivers in a Type R. She had real gusto, safely overtaking when the car in front was slower, wrapping the thing around roundabouts, bends etc. It was when we pulled level with her to turn at a set of lights we looked over and saw a little old lady who must have been 80 if a day. Never have I seen an old person drive a fast car with such joy, she was loving it! OH and I just saw slack jawed as she flawed it and disappeared in the other direction :D

Oh gawd, missed out the Type R and thought you were talking about my fella's old mam. She's in Wales. She's like that, mid 80s. Really shouldn't be driving any more. Fine on motorways, fine on normal roads, loves driving but pretty sure all 4 wheels leave the ground when she goes over speed humps. But then the safely part doesn't suit her either :rotfl:

I think it's very rare to find a slip road that joins a motorway without it's own lane.

You don't leave the south east much do you? :D

Motorways sliproads that turn into an extra lane are the exception, not the norm, in most of the country.

The people in this thread who think THEY have priority over the traffic that is already on the motorway/dual carriageway are going to get a very big shock one day.
Next time you're trying to join and you've got two 44 tonne trucks side by side in lane one and lane two lets see what happens to you.
