Nice one maggiesoup
I bet it was nice to spend the quality time with your son and it does sound like you had lots of fun on your holiday. Great to hear you feel spurred on to continue with the healthy lifestyle and cycling is a great activity that won't break the bank. I'm too much of a wuss to consider liposuction as I have heard it is extremely painful and can leave you with uneven areas.

Fantastic VG! gosh, 2.5lbs is brilliant!
We've just watched that "You Are What You Eat" and are feeling smug that we eat quite well, but we eat more meat than they do. All our veggies are very fresh and nothing is added to them.Sealed Pot Challenge #021 #8 975.71 #9 £881.44 #10 £961.13 #11 £782.13 #12 £741.83 #13 £2135.22 #14 £895.53 #15 £1240.40 #16 £1805.87 #17 £1820.01 declared0 -
Linda12, my thoughts are with you, i hope you get some good luck soon and the treatment goes well x x
I haven't been to WW for two weeks as it was my bday and then we've been away to disneyland paris for a long weekend!! Had a fab time but the diet really went out of the window and am now finding it hard to get the enthusiasm to get back into it... Although we must have walked about 10 miles a day i'm sure!! I'm thinking of cutting the meeting tomorrow too as i dont want to hear that i've put on weight but guess i should go huh!!
Congrats to all those who have lost and chin up to those still trying like me!!

Rachie77, i bet all is not lost, at least you had a great birthday and holiday and you can start afresh tomorrow.

Thanks VickyA
I saw the last series of You Are What You Eat and my mum bought the book. I started reading it but I think I would find it quite restrictive considering what I can eat and lose weight with right now. Shame I missed the show, I'll write myself a reminder for next week!
Rachie77 - if you cut club this week you'll only regret it in the long run. At least if you go you can see if you did any damage to your weight loss, if you did a lot of walking you may even be surprised by a small losss or maintaining. If you have put on though, at least you know you enjoyed yourself, let your hair down and can now get back onto the straight and narrow. The other members at club will have been where you are now and may have some ideas for getting your head back into it. Good luck if you goSad because you don't know what to do? Comping question? Take a look in the Comping Guide to find out0 -

Rachie77, I have just cut out all rubbish from my diet, I've been having huge amounts of veggies with everything. I'm just loving salads at the mo, adding loads of peppers, spring onions, red cabbage & a bit of low fat dip. I'm trying to use the weight watchers books as a guide, i.e 22 points a day, quorn sausages are 1 point, so seem to have had them several times over last couple of weeks. Made some falafel last week and had them with pitta and salad, instead of crisps I have had crunchy chickpeas (dried out in oven, sprinkled with cayenne pepper and bit of salt).
I'm trying so hard, except for last night, but as I rarely see my sister it was a treat.
Good luck with job interview, think positive.
Good luck with WW if you go, I'm sure it will be fine.WW Gold Member, trying to maintain !!!Hayden born July 07Tabitha born April 05Poppy born July 030 -
hello from a thread watcher.
any thoughts on keeping 'on track' through the horrid hormonal times.
I've been going up and down through the same few pounds for mounths, losing a few pounds duing the happy hormone weeks and putting them (and often a bit more) back on during the 'sod it' weeks.
I am really trying to break this pattern. I've managed to shift most of the gained lbs over last 2.5 weeks (4.4 lbs off :j), now my hormones have dropped the challenge is that much tougher.
it's not just the number on the scales I need to change but also the out of control and bloated feeling.
Any other ideas how to get through without gaining?
1. Don't snack instead of eating meals, it only leads to all day snack attacks. make proper big healthy meals, and if still feel snacky in the evening, have sensible nibbles ( oatcake + protein, fruit + yog etc) that won't start up blood sugar roller coaster, and the snacking cycle.
2. Keep away from choc, sugar and white processed carbs. One is never enough to satisfy. One is just enough to trigger a binge.
3.Take it one day at a time. One wobbly ( or worse) day doesn't mean it's ruined, just start over afresh the next morning.
...erm can't think of any more now !0 -
Hi jenpoptab
well done on great loss on such a healthy sensible diet !
the crunky chickpeas sounds great. I've made them as side dish with roast lamb. YUM! very good with celery salt, mild chilli + thyme.
how did you make the felafels?
I'm doing something similar diet-wise, healthy eating, no counting, taking ideas from all over, and it works for me - when I stick to it.:o0
