Take no notice of your DS. I've just dug my hoodie out to see what brand it is (it came from sports direct) and its a Title (whatever that is), but I'd wear a Lonsdale no problems and I am definitely not a chav although I think my trainers are Lonsdale and soooooo comfy (I call them my chav trainers :rotfl: )
Think of it as dual purpose: keeps you warm and embarrasses your teen. Can't get better than that. :j0 -
My kids would love me to wear hoodies...it's the in thing here and not for chavs-they wear tracksuits or low slung jeans and tracksuit topsDebts Jan 2014 £20,108.34

It wouldn't be my choice of hoodies. I dislike large logos, and that particular one as huge (personal choice though). It will be fine for lounging, and around the garden.
I've bought 2 hoodies recently from sports direct, one black with no logo (my favourite), and one (charcoal/pink) with a small logo that I wear around the house.New forum. New sig. Yes I still need to lose 2 stone!0 -
A pashmina is your best bet, I dont usually wear one, but always have one stashed away for long and short haul travel. I get really cold on planes, and so it is great to use it as a blanket....I would def have a cardi / hoodie on too!
Im afraid Lonsdale is pretty naff though, and as a fashion buyer would always recommend something that you will wear long past your return from holidays, for that cost per wear calculation! Gap is a good bet for a plain basic that will last for ages. Mind you if you plan to wear your lonsdale top on your return, then thats your style, so just go for it.0 -
Dont buy clothes from a sports shop unless your doing sports and most of all dont wear trainers unless your doing sports, espcially not with jeans:)All power is from within and therefore under our control0

Lonsdale is a boxing make and boxing is generally a bit of a chavy sport which might be where he has got that from x:jBaby Boy born December 20120

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but............0 -
I live in hoodies and trainers:eek:
Chav is an attitude, not a style of dress. IMO
I also wear jeans and trainers and the most sport I do is chucking a few darts occasionally0 -
My OH bought me my first hoodie at Christmas, with a big cod on it, advertising https://www.fishfight.net (Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall's anti-fish discards campaign). It's about three sizes too big and drowns me
Ideal thing for schlepping round the supermarket - hoodie so chavvy enough not to stand out but not advertising a sports brand.
