Playing the PPCs at their own game

Guys_Dad & Dave_TH,
Can I suggest you two stop this now. Bickering amongst ourselves hardly aids new victims of the PPC scam.
Please consider 'virtually shaking hands', no loss of face for either of you, and lets get on with helping newbies find the information they need to help them see what is going on in private car parks.
It's the PPCs and their trolls that are the enemy here.
Thanks Chaps.0 -

I have no problem with Dave_TH. Occasional exchanges with different opinions are a feature of a forum. I appreciate where you are coming from, but this little exchange of 4 missing posts is a minor spat as compared with many, many more on this Parking forum - as most regular contributors will agree, I hope.
But, there is a line, and Dave, who only joined earlier this month, crossed it with profanities and the exchange between us was removed, correctly. Yes, I had a dig at him by quoting from two of his previous posts and pointing out that he was doing exactly what he accused me of doing two posts previously!
I don't intend to refer to the matter again and I hope Dave_TH feels the same.0 -

I am in agreement, I tend to take what is written with a pinch of salt, most of my "digs" are tongue in cheek so no problem with Guys Dad at all, I have only recently started posting but have been a member since September 2010, I have posted seriously on Pepipoo for over 5 years now and have helped many, many people with PPC's and non payments, indeed I am currently having some fun with PE, managed to get to letter 5 without them sending it across the table to poxburge. I know a few MSE (ers) so decided to start posting so here is to the next few months.0 -
Thanks Gents. :T0

Have read with interest your advice on parking problems. On Jan 23 my husband received a "Formal Demand" from LPS ltd stating that he had not paid an excess parking charge last November 25. He is adamant that there was no parking ticket on his car and that this is the only communication we have had from the firm. I understand that the law has changed recently so should we just tough it out or respond pointing out the lack of ticket? Are the firm just taking advantage of the new law?:question:0

It doesn't matter if there was a ticket or not. It is still an unenforceable invoice. Don't bother to respond, it will only make them think that you are taking them seriously.I can afford anything that I want.
Just so long as I don't want much.0 -
