Hi
Where did you hear re Applaws wet being complimentary? I can't see it on their website.
Thanks
S
Applaws tinned food is definitely complimentary, it says so on the tin (I've just double checked).
I thought the pouches were too, but didn't have any to check, so have copied and pasted what it says about the pouches on Zooplus: "Applaws cat food is a high quality complimentary cat food, containing only natural ingredients."0 -
For Applaws kitten food, Z+ states:
"Please note: since Applaws is a natural product, it may have an unbalanced calcium/phosphorus ratio with an above-average phosphorus content. Thus Applaws should be complemented with a well-balanced complete food (moist or dry)."0 -

It's on the tins - the older ones anyway. The new recipe is complete and you can tell the difference. It's more like shredded chicken, whereas the complimentary one is just like mushed chicken.0 -

And a ninja. NOTHING is safe from her. NOTHING.0 -
I haven't read the whole thread but please get your kitten microchipped ASAP if she is not already because kittens are notorious for Mission Impossible style escapes. There are too many stories of losses of much loved pets that were intended to be chipped at the same time as vaccinations/ spaying but escaped first.
The ginger tom: you may find a local rescue (Cats Protection or an independent are usually better than the RSPCA) is willing to snip him for free if you are willing to put the effort into trapping and transporting him. They may lend you a trap if you think you may end up shredded or don't fancy him spraying in your cat carrier! Just explain he is a stray - even if not - that your neighbour has fed but none of you can take in.Declutterbug-in-progress.⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️0 -

She's being chipped this week. Was going to wait until she was spayed, but as you say, it's a silly risk to take.
The big tom isn't ginger, if he was I might like him;), but unfortunately he does have an owner. He's chipped and he wears a collar too. The owner doesn't seem to care that her cat's wandering around, getting into fights and screaming the bloody place down at 3am because he's desperate for a shag and no sane cat will go near the ugly ruffian!
If I can get hold of his collar and get the number off it as my neighbour did, his owner will be getting a piece of my mind and probably something heavy thrown at her if she doesn't sort it out. He doesn't deserve to have the life she's lumbered him with.0 -

But they are so much fun together, they realy do make much less work for me, more work cleaning the litter tray, but they entertain each other so well. I had been wondering if 2 was a bad idea, but they're so lovely together, they cuddle up together at night, and during the day spend their time half attacking and half grooming each other.I def recommend getting 2.

I don't think I'd cope! I do find myself looking for a little male ginger to go with her, but I have to stop myself. She has friends next door who before we got her used our house as their holiday home, so as soon as she's finished her jabs, she'll be able to meet them, and then after she's been spayed, she'll be able to go out with them.0
