Mr F has been saying for ages - I had too much stuff in my craft room - now I agree with him. :o I am slowly having a sort out - loads of stuff - biggest bedroom. I am listing what I won't use on Eb.. There is craft stuff I bought when I first started card making - my style has changed so I don't need it. It is nice to get some money back for it - yes - I may buy new craft stuff! Crafts are my hobby - don't smoke/drink/gamble. :D
I also have a huge stash of fabric and yarns - I am never going to use it all - again - my tastes/style have changed.
Did I tell you - the smallest bedroom is where some more of my craft stash is stored?

I feel your pain, ive just gone through all my bakeware and saucepans. Most i'll never use again and some have seen better days. Theres a sizeable amount that i will be getting shot of. I might be able to get to the back of the sink now.

Judi, I'm going through my vintage pyrex :o ...I have a box I'm putting stuff in, but it's taking ages. I look at it, put it down, look at it again, decide to keep it, then think why? so in the box it eventually goes...after all how many casserole dishes do I really, really need? I don't have the cupboard space and stuff is spilling out on the limited work surfaces...ok, back to it.

See in my mind bowls are also good for ....

Dips (for crudite and crisps etc)
    Olives.
    Little crackers or nuts

Then once they have finished as that i use them for chickens, birds, cats, or the feral cats and hedge hogs.

The cook and bakeware......i would find that almost impossible to part with. True and embarrasing admission. I cried when i threw away my mothers madelaine tin which had rusted. It took me a long time (as in different trips to the storage facility over a couple of years) to actually do it. And i know i have her favoruite spring form tin, also rusty, still in a box. It kept her going as a single mum when she arrived ion uk in the sixties and she baked cakes and sold them to posh london delis and food halls between other jobs.

I looked through 3 bookshelves in my craft room - 22 books that are going on Eb.. I have an empty shelf now! I am having a move round of stuff - the empty book shelf is in an awkward place to get to - by the side of my computer desk - in the corner of the room. So I am going to store craft stuff there that I don't use often. Okay - back to it.

I just use my plain white cereal bowls for that sort of thing. I love plain white crockery.
Then once they have finished as that i use them for chickens, birds, cats, or the feral cats and hedge hogs.

I dont have chickens, the birds are fed from feeders hanging off my greenhouse. The dogs scare the wildlife away from our garden (well all but the most foolhardy cat who creeps in to dump in the lawn).

I havent really done any baking for years, theres only three of us here now and hubby is only here weekends. Cant see that changing in the future.

Older pyrex shatters into knife shaped shards. I have a scar from when I was about 15 from where I knocked one on the tap in Her house and ended up with six inch shards between my fingers - I found out what finger tendons looked like that afternoon. (Of course, I was stupid for breaking a precious bowl - that was free from the Co-op  - but chances are that it probably self destructed from the shock of being washed up in the first place :))

The steam cleaner was rubbish, btw, no substitute for hot water and bleach, but it was a wallpaper steamer with a few odd tools bunged in instead of being a purpose built, pressurised cleaner. As the walls are painted here, I don't need it, so it's off. As is the mirror with a bit broken off the corner and anything else I can find.

Oh, and I emptied the freezer, cleaned it out and we're having the chicken I found at the back tonight, along with the veggies. Already munched on the spring rolls for lunch :)

And there will be a bin bag of pots from the greenhouse by tonight.

Clearing out the unnecessaries is good for the soul. :D
