  • As a small holder i feel onliged to tell you you don't send a pig back when you are finished with it, you put it in the freezer.

As a smallholder, I would hope that you feed your pigs on something better than ww was suggesting.

Although at least there wouldn't be anyone cluttering up the chest freezer whilst waiting for the hire shop to deliver the wood chipper....

Hi everyone. New to this thread, I have decided to start de-cluttering (or attempt to anyway). It's not easy! I live in a small flat, and we have a spare room just full of 'stuff' (which may come in useful, hmmm). Managed to sort some of it into a 'sell' pile and a 'charity' pile. The charity stuff hasn't left yet... most of the sell stuff has been photographed and advertised, but just can't shift much of it...

Plus my dad is in the middle of selling his house and I have a load of stuff there from years ago... I visited the other day and was sent home with a boot load, so needless to say the 'stuff' room is full again!! Most of the stuff at Dads I had forgotten I had, so obviously don't need it, but don't know what to do with it?

I have lots at mums too... seems where ever I go, I leave a lot of things in my wake lol.

What I would really love is to turn the 'stuff' room into a multigym, but that seems impossible at the moment! :(

So, e-bay, amazon etc for the stuff you think you can sell.

What doesn't can go to a car boot sale. Whre and when is the next local one?

And what is left over can go on https://www.freegle.co.uk or to the charity shop.
If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing

:)Had an evening off last night but back to it tonight.

I'm thinking of tackling the bottom of the wardrobe. Or having a bath and a glass of wine. Nope definitely the wardrobe.

My, what an exciting and decadent life!

Loving the idea of tupperware as Kryptonite for Zombies :D

Oh and I was in Costco earlier and was sooo tempted by a 15 drawer thingy for putting paperwork in... then remembered you lot and thought I couldn't face admitting it

On the plus side, I finally have enough unbroken panels to build the Ottoman at the bottom of the bed (third time lucky!) Now, what to store in it...

Oh and does anyone, when they have a box of chocolates look at the plastic insert where the individual chocs lay and think, "this could be useful..." :p:o

Blossom, LA wallpaper??:D I will ask for wool on Freeg£e, thanks for the idea.
:o Yup, that's me, also. Packaging is so hard to resist if you're at all crafty.

:D:D I have decluttered 94 snails and slugs from my allotment. Do I get a special prize? The were actually caught red-handed scoffing my peas and broad-beans, so they had it coming.:D:D

Can I presume you were mse and lightly sauted the snails in garlic butter?:money::D
Thanks Byatt - health a bit up and down at the mo.

Todays decluttering was small and simple - I returned the box my engagement ring came in back for reuse to the independent jewellers. They were delighted to have it.

Yeah, what is it with some freecycle replies ? Replies of 'yes please' or "I could fnd use for that" or worse, "please ring me (mobile number) so I can arrange to pick it up".
Having said all that, I have met many lovely people through FC too.
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days attack me at once

_pale__pale_ :D Nope, I stamped on them in my Doc Marten steel toed gardening boots (£2 unused at bootsale). Not terribly MSE but very very satisfying.

I have seen people collecting snails from olive groves on the mountainous areas of Crete but I'd have to be pretty darned hungry before I'd do snails. I'm a bit funny about chewy textures in things to eat, it makes me gag.

The slugs got hacked into halves with a knife. I figure they'll rot down and enrich the soil..............:rotfl:

I personally share the wealth and Freecycle them into the garden of the horrible teenager that climbs over and tramples everything going after his football in full view of his overindulgent parents. I'm generous like that, you see, what with the Olympic Spotted Racing Slug camp I seem to be running here already. But they aren't very good at the triple jump, whereas the snails positively fly over the wall [cough].

    :)

I used to do that. :rotfl::rotfl:

GQ, I'm not the remotely bit crafty, that's the trouble. :D

I took some more stuff to CS, a mixture of kitchen things and well kitchen things. Lots of stuff in bin too.

I have heard from another Freegler asking for the third item...will be interesting to see if he replies to my email.
