I think your diary is fab and you are doing great, *subscribed*.
I do know how you feel about being in this situation, I had a complete meltdown yesterday about our 'situation'.
Somebody told me when we first started our DMP that you have still got do live whilst you are dealing with your debts and if you deprived yourself of everything it would soon drag you down. We all deserve a little treat now and again (but as long as it's budgeted for!!LOL).xxDMP with CCCS started Jan12 £34,906 Jan13 £31,893 Jan14 £26,836 Jan15 £21,894 Jan16 £16,839 Jan17 £14,415 Jan19 £12,938ish Jan19 £9,649 Jan20 £6612 Feb 21 0 Self managed from Jan'17

I know how you feel on the scary moments, I also have cross moments, where I realise what I could be doing with all this money instead of paying back debts, we just have to remember that these are the very reasons why we are making sure to bust those debts, mmm would like a exploding credit card smilie now
FaeLBM 29/10/2013 £14,218.00 As of 13/04/2014 £6477.00

Just caught up, great news about the overpayments
I think I'm in awe that you made it to the end of the month with £500 left!!!
It's true about needing the odd treat to make it bearable, we've not even been cutting back long and there is already a sense that life is 'on hold' til the debts paid back. I'm not sure it has sunk in yet that this more frugal lifestyle is permanent :rotfl:

being in the black so close to payday. You're doing a great Sista
I agree if you don't treat yourself then at some point I think you'd just have massive splurge and that's just going to set you back. You deserve a treat for all the work you're doing towards clearing your debt.LBM 24/05/2012 :TAugust NSD 10/12 * £2 savers0 -
Well Done Sista - You have done very well having that much before payday and not with a - in front of the figure
I agree you definately need to have some little treats now and again otherwise as the other posters have said, the debt will drag you down..
Great Work XX:T2012 The year I started dealing with my debts.

Keep up the PMA xThis is exactly it.
Something with chocolate in it a day should help
Me and DH working today for extra pennies (literally) so kids left to their own devices.....i dread to think what they're doing....eating all the shopping probably
I think the best thing about having my LBM is the realisation that it's real money IYSWIM, going into the supermarket and thinking 'how much?!' when before i'd just pick it up without really thinking about it!
I say ' the best thing' as now i realise it is my money and i have nearly 19k of debt to pay backso i can't be as frivolous anymore
DEBT FREE AND PROUD'Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak out and remove all doubt'0 -
You wonder don't you what you were thinking before your LBM. Supermarket shopping a whole different experience for me nowadays.0

Completely! I can honestly say I never ever looked at a price tag when out shopping and so was shocked to see the prices of a lot of things.
I do find I already appreciate things more though. When you (or more accurately Mr Mastercard) can buy anything you want nothing has any real value does it?
Anyway, I'm off before I get too deep :rotfl:Hope you've had a great weekend
