Been to A's and T's today
In A's got 3 x Pepsi Max, 2 Loreal deodrant, 1 burger relish, 1 loaf and 6 large onion and garlic pasta sauce. Used a couple of APG's and £2.41 to pay :T:T
Last couple of times I had been in to look for the pasta sauce the shelf had been bare, timed it just as SA putting some out, asked if they were the £1 or 25p ones, told him I would save him a job:D
In T's went to get another pizza/B&J meal deal using my Jtd. He said £8.50 to pay, I said, this should be £5, he grinned and scanned the garlic bread, think he was trying to help me save money. If it wasn't for blinds it'd be curtains for all of us:dance:0 -

Ignore me i meant JTD they £1-09 in T's and £2-18 in A's
My receipt from T's so i thought if someone bought just the yogurts they would get £1-09 back am i wrong
Unfortunately yes you are wrong. if you buy these in Ts it will not get you any money back as you have already spent less than you would have paid in As for the same product
This is how Ts pricecheck works. If you bought a hypothetical product in Ts for say £5 and its £3 in As you would get £2 back as that is what you would have saved if you went to As
Combine these two products in one shop though and you will get less back
e.g.
Danone + hypothetical product in Ts = £1.09 + £5 = £6.09
Danone + hypothetical product in As = £2.18 + £3 = £5.18
so you would get £0.91 back which is the combined difference
The moral is - when shopping in Ts dont mix things that are cheaper in As with things that are cheaper in Ts. You will only get a voucher if the things you buy in Ts cost you more than if you were to buy them in A's
On the flipside, if you were doing a shop in As that qualified for a price guarantee (APG) voucher, and A's system recognised that you would have nnly paid £1.09 in Ts for the Danone then you will get back a little bit more than the difference. A's beat their competitors by 10% so they would hopefully compare £2.18 with £0.98 (£1.09-£0.11) and give you back £1.20
You have to be more careful doing a shop in A's if you want to get an APG voucher as your shopping has to have at least 8 different grocery items. So when shopping in A's you have to watch that you dont buy anything that is cheaper than in Ts or it will eat into your voucher value
Hope that helps. In the time it's taken me to write this I bet someone else has posted a much more succinct replyApparently, everybody knows that the bird is [strike]the word[/strike] a moorhen0 -
