Sorry original quote, I meant £5 not £4

Yes I knew the Vienetta was in the offer but that's not made by Birds Eye ;)

So what you spend on Birds Eye is £1.45+£1.50+£1.25 = £4.20

Supposedly not enough for the £5 Birds Eye price flop ;)

Throw in a box of Birds Eye fish cakes 85P in T & in A :T
I, not events, have the power to make me happy or unhappy today. I can choose which it shall be. Yesterday is dead, tomorrow hasn't arrived yet. I have just one day, today, and I'm going to be happy in it. :)

Unfortunately yes you are wrong. if you buy these in Ts it will not get you any money back as you have already spent less than you would have paid in As for the same product

This is how Ts pricecheck works. If you bought a hypothetical product in Ts for say £5 and its £3 in As you would get £2 back as that is what you would have saved if you went to As

Combine these two products in one shop though and you will get less back

    e.g.

    Danone + hypothetical product in Ts = £1.09 + £5 = £6.09
    Danone + hypothetical product in As = £2.18 + £3 = £5.18

so you would get £0.91 back which is the combined difference

The moral is - when shopping in Ts dont mix things that are cheaper in As with things that are cheaper in Ts. You will only get a voucher if the things you buy in Ts cost you more than if you were to buy them in A's

On the flipside, if you were doing a shop in As that qualified for a price guarantee (APG) voucher, and A's system recognised that you would have nnly paid £1.09 in Ts for the Danone then you will get back a little bit more than the difference. A's beat their competitors by 10% so they would hopefully compare £2.18 with £0.98 (£1.09-£0.11) and give you back £1.20

You have to be more careful doing a shop in A's if you want to get an APG voucher as your shopping has to have at least 8 different grocery items. So when shopping in A's you have to watch that you dont buy anything that is cheaper than in Ts or it will eat into your voucher value

Hope that helps. In the time it's taken me to write this I bet someone else has posted a much more succinct reply

Thank you aau98113 i will try and remember this. It's a good job i don't do JTD shops its all a bit complicated for me. I do my shop in T's then put receipt in price checker. Think other peeps will find what you have wrote very useful.

If someone brought them in T's for £1.09 and they are £2.18 in A's . They are cheaper in T's so you would not get a voucher in T's price checker is that what you meant ?

I didn't i got myself confused aau98113 explained it above so think i get it now.

I emailed the seller who has agreed to refund, but wants me to pay the return postage.
I'm not happy about this as it will cost about a tenner to get £17 back!
It's not as if I've changed my mind....the crappy thing is unuseable and shouldn't have been sold at all.
The seller wanted me to "do things by the book" and open a case with Ebay, which I've done.
Do you think it's unreasonable to expect him to pay for the return of his broken coffee machine?

:) Definitely open an SNAD on eBay. State it is rubbish & would cost more that it's worth as scrap to return. eBay sometimes tell you to bin it & then they refund you...
If they are not playing ball - you will have to return it (tracked) so Seller can't say it hasn't arrived when it has to avoid refunding. Yes you have to pay to return but if Seller wants to keep his new 100% feedback he would offer to refund P&P.

I sold some Laura Ashley silk curtains once & buyer found a slubby flaw in the weave (silk = slubs) I arranged for curtains to be collected from them & refunded (& then resold with highlighted flaw for more money nearer to Christmas ;) :T )
Send through Interparcel £6.95 & they pick up from your door.
But only send it back when eBay tell you to.
Fingers crossed eBay will just refund & you destroy it :)

BUT we have become 'Pals' with the Duty Manager & his Missus on the tills & he told me today he's ordering in the Real Food Magazine :):)
Not sure if he knows what it is, as he seems to think it's the recipe cards they have in the Foyer.
Need to get my hands on one to show him.....;)

    Hi Everybody

Could somebody let me know if they put the Chicago town, Ben & Jerries through the till as seperate meal deals so each receipt would be £5 or do you put say 3 / 4 throught the till at once with a total of value of £15 / £20.

    Hope this makes sense.

I went to CS of one of the superstore to suggest that they bring in/stock the Real Food magazine, and she asked me if I have checked the magazine stand.....:wall::wall:

So I told her its a Tesco magazine, and supposed to be free, and she took me to the display of technology magazine and gave me one.:wall::wall::wall::wall::wall::wall:

I'll try again another day with another SA.
