Definitely open an SNAD on eBay. State it is rubbish & would cost more that it's worth as scrap to return. eBay sometimes tell you to bin it & then they refund you...
If they are not playing ball - you will have to return it (tracked) so Seller can't say it hasn't arrived when it has to avoid refunding. Yes you have to pay to return but if Seller wants to keep his new 100% feedback he would offer to refund P&P.
I sold some Laura Ashley silk curtains once & buyer found a slubby flaw in the weave (silk = slubs) I arranged for curtains to be collected from them & refunded (& then resold with highlighted flaw for more money nearer to Christmas:T )
Send through Interparcel £6.95 & they pick up from your door.
But only send it back when eBay tell you to.
Fingers crossed eBay will just refund & you destroy it
.....
I've already had a reply from ebay
We've informed the seller that the item wasn't as described. The seller has offered you a full refund for the purchase price plus original postage & packaging, if you return the item. To get your refund, post the item back to the seller. You will need to cover the cost of returning the item. Make sure you send the item by 12 Jun, 2012.
Refund information:
Once the item is delivered to the seller, you will receive a full refund. The refund will include the purchase price plus original postage & packaging.
You can view the details of this case and learn what you need to do to send the item back, in the Resolution CentreMy husband says he will leave me if I don't stop shopping......... God I will miss that man.0 -
So I've discovered.....and no he's not and he won't :mad::mad::mad:
I've got to pay to return it....so next question.
The cheapest way to do this is ????
Ebay rubbish nowadays. The last time i bought something from there, it was SNAD as well - completely tattered and stained bag described as "as new". Ebay told me to send the item back to the seller, and I was supposed to pay for the postage back. In the end, I left the seller a big fat negative feedback and didnt send the item back for a refund on the item (no refund on postage)
Item cost: 6 pounds + 4 pounds postage
sending item back: 4 pounds
net money back: 2 pounds
It gives me more satisfaction to leave the negative feedback and forgo the 2 pounds refund.0 -
Nooooo!
:o no garlic bread or pizzas at my T's. Grrrr.... and I was so flummoxed at having to rejig my carefully planned list, that I forgot the yogurts! -they were all different prices to online....

I haven't been on ebay for ages, this is one of the reasons coupled with increased fees from ebay/paypal.
I used to be totally hooked on it. I would always seek out and buy things that were mis-spelled so that I wasn't up against many other competing bidders and got loads of bargains. As soon as I got the items I would re-list them with correct spelling and put them in a jazzier HTML format and double my money easily. My listing page was always a mixed bag of the most random stuff you have ever seen together because I didn't care what I bought/sold as long as it was mis-spelled:rotfl::rotfl:
At one point though I did buy several DVD boxsets for myself, advertised as UK release. They turned out to be Chinese knockoffs, very bad ones at that! I had to pay about £10 return postage or else I wouldn't get my £100 back. (£100!!! Did I really ever pay that much for anything?!?!?!)
I also bought a laptop that came to me with a battery that wouldn't charge. The seller must have charged the battery on another machine before sending it out and hoped I would post my feedback before it died on me, which it did within an hour. I think that also cost about £10 to send back!!:mad:Apparently, everybody knows that the bird is [strike]the word[/strike] a moorhen0 -
Can anyone identify this person?
