Afternoon all
Blimey....what's happened?? Must be a massive glitch cos I only logged out around 9.30 last night and there are pages and pages to catch up on
Before I disappear, can anyone help me regarding an ebay purchase please.
I bought a coffee machine last week which arrived yesterday.
It's absolutely crap. The lid to the water tank is jammmed on solid. Neither me or DH can shift it and the corner casing is all broken.
It was really dirty/dusty and obviously hadn't been used in ages.
I emailed the seller who has agreed to refund, but wants me to pay the return postage.
I'm not happy about this as it will cost about a tenner to get £17 back!
It's not as if I've changed my mind....the crappy thing is unuseable and shouldn't have been sold at all.
The seller wanted me to "do things by the book" and open a case with Ebay, which I've done.
I thought it was a newish seller but apparently he's been on Ebay a while, just opened a different account (because his old one had rubbish feedback methinks!)
Do you think it's unreasonable to expect him to pay for the return of his broken coffee machine?
Right....off to catch up!
If he's a private seller he doesn't have to refund your return postage, but if he was a decent honest seller he would do it anyway.:grinheart “Truly Great Madness Cannot Be Achieved Without Significant Intelligence.”:grinheart0 -

Sounds like an experienced ebay seller using a different account to sell the rubbish. Doing things by the book will require you to pay the return postage by a trackable method. My guess would be that he is hoping that will put you off. You may be able to agree a partial refund that will leave you with more than if you paid the return postage - that could be what the seller wants.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. I would open an 'item not as described case', you will then be able to contact ebay for advice. I had this once with a study table which was described and new and was at least 10 years old. The company agreed in the end to pay for the courier to come and collect it. I would contact the seller and tell them they can arrange for the collection and therefore pay for it. EBay are very good at disputes and nearly always seem to side with the purchaser. Hope you manage to sort it.If it wasn't for blinds it'd be curtains for all of us:dance:0 -
Hi, can you tell me which socks these were please? I am going out via a T later and have had some socks from there, but there is no scanner Thanks IA
Blimey, now you're asking something!! They were performance ones, 9-12 in grey. They'd put a new barcode over the old one

Afternoon all!
Here's a close up of my sausage  (just so you know what you're looking for):
Just some info. for you.....the sausages are found in the cooked meats aisle, but their exact location can vary. One store I visited had them next to the other MAMW products and another had them next to the value ham.
Also, just a warning, trouts don't like it when you buy this product and pay zilch for them. Even the young SA lads seem to have a problem with scanning these coupons; they're usually fearless when it comes to scanning coupons. :rotfl:
The problem is that the coupons don't scan properly; a message comes up that 'the correct amount has not been spent' or something along those lines.
It's important that you remain cool, calm and collected. And be polite. :A
I had a few problems trying to redeem the coupons but if you follow these points then you should be ok.
1. Warn the SA beforehand that you have coupons for the item in question and that the coupon states 'one per transaction'; ask what they would like you to do. At this point, follow the SA's advice i.e. put them through separately or all in one go.
2. If you do put the items through in one go without warning the SA and the SA, senior supervisor or trout refuses to accept the coupon as it says 'one per transaction'....ask them politely to cancel the whole transaction and put the items through separately.
3. If the SA is struggling to scan the coupon, give them a gentle reminder that they they can manually enter an unbranded coupon.
4. If they still refuse to accept the coupons, despite the above, talk to them in a calm and gentle manner (even if you're against the trout of all trouts). Read out the Ts and Cs of the coupon and emphasise that it does not say 1 per customer, it only says 1 per transaction. Also remind them that the coupon entitles you to £1 off ANY MAMW product and that there is no minimum spend. You should at this point, get your sausages.
5. Failing the above, please think whether all this hassle is worth getting a few sausages. You will, more than likely, have had your cards marked at this point in the store that you're in. Is it worth the risk for any future DTD golden opportunities? Or that amazing glitch?
I guess the above advice is aimed at novices when it comes to couponing....so sorry to the regulars who think that this is all common sense.

this is our bag .
I haven't seen these at all. Am I right in thinking that you have to spend £10 on chilled food for the offer? There are no pos notices at all. I tried one of the 6.93 UJ ones and that didn't work.
In this months Good Food mag, there is a 50p coupon off of Pilgrims cheese and a 30p one off of Burgen Bread.
Also there are a couple of glutn free recipes for Tortilla chips and Viennese Whirls in there as well - thought QPR may like them.0
