MisalignedHalo wrote: »HOW TO CALL THE POLICE WHEN YOU'RE OLD AND DON'T MOVE FAST ANYMORE. Phillip Hewitson, an elderly man, from Norwich UK, was going up to bed, when his wife told him that he'd left the light on in the garden shed, which she could see from the bedroom window. George opened the back door to go turn off the light, but saw that there were people in the shed stealing things. He phoned the police, who asked "Is someone in your house?" He said "No," but some people are breaking into my garden shed and stealing from me. Then the police dispatcher said "All patrols are busy. You should lock your doors and an officer will be along when one is available." George said, "Okay." He hung up the phone and counted to 30. Then he phoned the police again. "Hello, I just called you a few seconds ago because there were people stealing things from my shed. Well you don't have to worry about them now because I just shot them." and he hung up. Within five minutes, Six Police Cars, a SWAT Team, a Helicopter, two Fire Trucks, a Paramedic, and an Ambulance showed up at the Hewitson`s' residence, and caught the burglars red-handed. One of the Policemen said to Phillip, "I thought you said that you'd shot them!" Phillip said, "I thought you said there was nobody available!" :T

Now I know what you guys are on about when you got shopping for reductions! I currently have a 40p chicken in the oven and have squeezed all my other bargains in the fridge & freezer. It was all 90% off which I've never seen over here. Must have been the weather!
Thanks to reading it ages ago, I snaffled 5 of the Tapas/Indian thingymabobs at 25p each so a nice £3.50 off the bill which I think £2.25 off the bill. The chicken was £4 or 2 for £7 or 3 for £10 (I think). The woman in front got the first chicken and I managed to get the last one. If I'd known, would that multi-discount thing have worked i.e. 2 x 40p minus £1 so free chicken? I have a lot to learn still! No one can make you feel inferior without your consent ~ Eleanor Roosevelt0 -

Bordeaux rose was £10.99 now £2.74 *selected store* Thanks to brenoc from HUKD.
Thanks ever so for this. Got a dozen from Top Va!!ey and left at least twice that many behind on shelf.
The best bit is that despite loading all 12 onto conveyor belt and SA kindly placing them into 2 wine carriers for me she only charged me for 6. Didn't realise till I'd got into car and studied receipt as had some other shopping too. Debated with myself whether to go back in and fess up but decided against it0 -
Forgot to mention we had a really good shop in a new to me store early, must be an un lurkered one!
We had loads of choice on MaM products, used loads of coupons without any hassle, found lots of 4p socks, the blue maggots, 1p splats and the 1p mothers day choc flowers and i herat my mum chocs ( got about 20 of each to distribute) Lots of 90% whoopsies and didnt have any competition. Found some car oil reduced to £11.92 went through as £22.xx got DTD no questions.
Really please managed 1p +4p items, whoopsies, DTD and coupons in one store and all with a smile!! Shall be going again!0 -
