Argh I'm having such a down day, I'm really not doing well at the moment at all. Sorry for moaning :o I thought I'd come on and catch up and try and take my mind off things. Not looking forward to going to birthday celebrations tomorrow, I'd be much happier to stick a paper bag over my head and hide away :(

I didn't bother with the supermarkets, I need to put a bit more thought into what I'm buying given we don't actually need anything!:p:o So I will have a go with the 2 CC cond spends tomorrow :)

    The cake balls I made;

So it was a plain sponge as a base for all 3 flavours.

On the left is chocolate.....plain sponge and chocolate butter cream, double dipped in TCO and then rolled in crushed bourbon biscuits, topped with a teeny section off the end of a TCO segment.

In the middle is vanilla....plain sponge and vanilla butter cream, double dipped in milk chocolate and sprinkled with 100's and 1000's and edible pink glitter.

And on the right is peanut butter.....plain sponge and butter butter butter cream, double dipped in milk chocolate and topped with a shard of my homemade peanut brittle :D

I've bundled them together in cellophane with a big bow so hope she likes them :)

Thinking of 3Dogs, MMW and Misaligned Halo :A

    Off to catch up :Axx

Mr 3Dogs has been in a deep sleep since this afternoon. I got something ready for tea at 8pm ready for his 3rd meds and he woke then but was very doped up and couldn't manage much of his food and every time he had a drink, I sat on the edge of my chair as I thought he was going to spill it  I had to shout to him several times when he was in the toilet as it sounded like he was falling asleep sat on the loo  but managed to get him to bed, very slowly ;) He was in a little pain so gave him some oramorph .... only his 3rd dose of the day, which was very good, and was soon snoring away

Just had fun giving him his meds and getting him tucked up in bed   He was half sitting up in bed with lots of pillows and woke as I went in the room. I talked to him for a few minutes to make sure he had woke properly and then asked him to take his last meds of the day. I handed him the bottle of diluted squash and he took it and then 'woke up again' and dropped it like a hot can  it bounced on the bed and then onto my foot, spilling squash on the bedspread, my foot and the floor. I went to get kitchen roll to mop up and tried to get Alan to sit up and move down the bed so I could see if it had gone through the bedspread and if he was wet. It was like dealing with him in the our younger days when he was mortally drunk - slow to respond and vacant look when you ask him to do something :rotfl:But we got there in the end, changing his pj's, the pillowcase and the bedspread. He went to the toilet while I was sorting the bed and but started retching again. I eventually got him settled in bed and gave him his anti-nausea tablet under his upper lip and he settled down to sleep. I can hear him snoring now so I am off to bed too, after that comedy sketch :rotfl: :rotfl:

Goodnight guys - sleep well

Thank you so much lovely lady :A xxxx

I've just read your earlier post, reporting on last night. I'm so so sorry, once again you've got me in tears! I'm so pleased to read the above posts and know that Alan has felt considerably more comfortable but still my heart goes out to you both. You are remarkable, truly remarkable. Your strength and courage.....words just fail me. You are wonderful :A

Thank you so much for thinking of me :A I feel incredibly selfish and foolish for whining, reading of what you're dealing with on a daily basis. I'm so sorry

Just back from scoring the biggest whoopsie haul I've had in years! £125 quidsworth for just over £6!:j(90% off then 3 different multibuys, one was bacon/porkchops 3 for £10, one was tapas/curry [which combine which was a nice surprise], and I have no idea where the third one came from - "MEAT 2FR£6/3 FR£8 -2.50". I got a heck of a lot of meat and none of them appear to be marked with this offer, can anyone shed some light?) The woman stood next to me got even more stuff than I did, the bay was nearly overflowing :rotfl:

Hiya guys, falling asleep typing this...why do I stay up so late when I have an 8month old baby?? Oh yeah cause you lot talk so much!!:rotfl::rotfl:But I love all the banter and the jokes and like how it supports people in their bad times:)

I did have to skip a bit earlier in the week and I know the Rose wine has been on here but I found a white Chardonnay for £2.50. Has this been mentioned? If not I'll go and get it and give you all the details

No dont think so it was a slip road off the A45, there was a witness and she was brillliant and rang the police etc, but she said i knew he wasnt going to stop, he then went between 2 lanes of traffic , over a roundabout and off he went, the front of his car was hanging off! I got part of the reg it all happened so quickly

If you can be very precise with the time of the incident and direction of travel including road names/numbers, its quite possible the police will have him on cctv at some point down the road if his car was that badly damaged.

    Fingers crossed.
