Neosi, that is quite impressive!!! :T:T

Can I ask the question... How long was it??? Just thinking that you might be able to singlehandedly start a dictionary of best comparisons (or best n/a items) :)

I thought I found the place receipts call heaven today, and got two as long as my arm - but no points to be had :o

    night night all! x

    Hey Mr. 3dogs :)

Three wins on the trot in the 20/20 for Mad's side Essex :)

    :j:beer:

    :A

I've been watching some of the T20 and Mr 3Dogs has managed to see a little too. Saw Essex win the other day, was it yesterday? I can't remember. We used to go down to an auction in Chelmsford so keep an eye out for Essex, and Durham being Geordies ;) Shame the weather has affected so many matches, and the ODI of course today :(

Well done Essex. I remember one year many moons ago, going to Lords for the Benson & Hedges final told you it was ages ago :rotfl:
between Middlesex and Essex. It went on a long time and we left assuming that Essex where going to win, got back to Watford where we were staying, got KFC bucket to take back to hotel room, switched on telly when we got settled and they were still playing in the dark  and Middlesex pulled off the win. It was a gorgeous sunny day, with a clear blue sky, argh yes, I remember it well ...... :rotfl:

Sitting on the steps, looking across the lake,
Wondering why, life at times, can seem great.
But in that second, it took me to just think,
My life could change, faster than a blink.

Is this a reason why we should always cherish?
Not knowing when loved ones may suddenly perish.
Living everyday, like it was our very last,
for our days could be very long or go by very fast

So I'll cherish and take nothing for granted,
not say things that shouldn't be chanted.
If this is the last day I have on this earth,
I accept my life, for what it's been worth.

Tomorrow isn't promised to young or old alike,
Today may be the last day I'm able to hold you tight.
Don't wait for tomorrow, do it all today,
If tomorrow never comes, you'll never regret a day.

For 3dogs and misaligned hero and anybody else who needs it

Thank you so very much for this - it is so beautiful :T :A :A

HOW TO CALL THE POLICE WHEN YOU'RE OLD AND DON'T MOVE FAST ANYMORE. Phillip Hewitson, an elderly man, from Norwich UK, was going up to bed, when his wife told him that he'd left the light on in the garden shed, which she could see from the bedroom window. Phillip opened the back door to go turn off the light, but saw that there were people in the shed stealing things. He phoned the police, who asked "Is someone in your house?" He said "No," but some people are breaking into my garden shed and stealing from me. Then the police dispatcher said "All patrols are busy. You should lock your doors and an officer will be along when one is available." Phillip said, "Okay." He hung up the phone and counted to 30. Then he phoned the police again. "Hello, I just called you a few seconds ago because there were people stealing things from my shed. Well you don't have to worry about them now because I just shot them." and he hung up. Within five minutes, Six Police Cars, a SWAT Team, a Helicopter, two Fire Trucks, a Paramedic, and an Ambulance showed up at the Hewitson`s' residence, and caught the burglars red-handed. One of the Policemen said to Phillip, "I thought you said that you'd shot them!" Phillip said, "I thought you said there was nobody available!" :T

Hurrah, I am now fully up-to-date. I made a few notes on the way>

Tweets - i keep picturing that sweet little centipede on the front step putting all his shoes on :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Michjay - hope you hubbie is feeling better after that chest infection - it must have been really scarey finding him like that

Karen - so sorry to hear that your Mum has terminal cancer too. Thinking of you and I know what you are going through so big hugs hun

QPR - thanks for the suggestion of music to keep Alan's mind busy instead of just lying there - switched alarm clock for alarm/radio/Cd player and he now can have music on when he wants :T :T He does like to read in bed but just doesn't have the strength to hold a book at the moment. He likes books about a life now gone, of farm folk, fen folk, poachers, social history, of East Anglia mostly but anywhere really, and most of these books come in hardback so hard for him to hold. I suggested a kindle of sorts and he likes that idea so any help in choosing the best one for him would be very much appreciated. I have a dear friend who works in Tosco and he will get it for me using his discount to save me a bit of money, so whatever they have in stock. i don't know the difference. whether to get Kindle, Kindle touch, Kindle 3G, or other makes of e-readers. HELP

Saversavvy - good luck to your DS1 and team in the Finals :T :T

Freddies Flyers Two - sorry that you didn't manage to get the rescue dog you wanted. It is horrible when that happens. I remember when that happened to us. After looking around Wood Green Godmanchester we picked out a cute little Jack Russell cross only to be told that it was reserved but they had forgotten to put the note up on her kennel. I went home crying :(. But it all turned out well, as 2 visits later, we found Bonnie who was meant to be with us and she was a super dog. We had her from 2000 to January this year and miss her still. I always look on it that 'your' dog is out there waiting for you to find, and they will find you when the time is right :D
