:D I do know what you mean... it did come across as propoganda, especially the final bit saying how both the UK and US governments have either ignored reports on obesity warnings or refused to levy "sugar" taxes.. Interesting programme though - I scoffed ice cream at the same time :rotfl: I'll watch it again next week.

    You ok btw?

Thats exactly what I meant, I was eating galaxy that I got as a wee gift from fellow student for helping her through the year.

I don't like ice cream straight from the freezer, prefer it softer.

You, my dear, are made to eat italian gelati :)

  • I just want to apologise for being depressing before I start but I need to offload and I know this is the best place:A

For certain reasons I cannot give too many details but will try to explain best I can.

For the last week I have spent a lot of time in my local ITU sitting with a lady whom I have known for 15months. This is to do with my work although it does not normally involve hospitals and never situations like this :( The lady is only in her early 40's and through complications from a simple operation is now severely ill. Got told the weekend she is unresponsive and they think brain dead, although her heart is beating she is on a respirator. I have sat and talked, laughed and tried my best to be positive not knowing if she can hear anything I am saying:( I found out today that they will be turning the respirator off tomorrow and she will either die or breathe for herself but be faced with a life of 24hr care with no dignity:( . I know I should be more professional and it should not be affecting me this way but this is the first time I have been faced with such a sad situation. I don't know until the morning if I am expected to be there when it happens as she has no close family.
How will I be strong? I really don't think I can be :(

But you may also be the world to one person

Sorry Motherbear I stole your photo not your comments, it was the picture I needed.

I have started recycling my Tesco mags at work now because our home recycling paper goes in a blue bag, I don't want anyone snooping and seeing all those magazines stacked up, or perhaps should I take them back to Mr T :rotfl:

I'm off to bed now. Going to take my lappie with me as my son has shown me this really good website where you can watch TV series for free.
I'm going to re-live the eighties now, and watch the first ever episode of Howards Way. I used to love this.....but I bet it's really dated now. :)
My husband says he will leave me if I don't stop shopping......... God I will miss that man.
