Sneaking in to say hello
I've been lurking on these forums for a while but had to resort to registering to ask some tax credit questions. I hope you don't mind me saying hello and apologise for not posting any bargains but hopefully I'll be able to make up for that.
I love reading about everyone on here but it's so hard to keep up. I feel like I know people personally but especially 3dogs and her husband as they always in my thoughts & prayers. You are such a brave couple and are an inspiration.
You know, I saw your post and it really got my back up. I've contacted them via facebook to ask why there are none of these magazines over here. I'm not expecting to be told the truth but you never know.

I had written to the BT and explained situation to them about FIL's death - he worked for BT for approx 30 years - and they decided to pay for most of the funeral costs. You wouldn't believe what a burden that has taken off our shoulders. I am absolutely over the moon and am just about to write a thank you letter off to them now. All we had to pay for was the announcement in the newspaper and they covered everything else.:T:T:T
So if anyone from the BT benevolent fund is reading this i would just like to say, you guys are amazing and i can't thank you enough. :j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j
And to Fudge 2 also a big Thank You to you too, i think i had better go and buy a lottery ticket as it looks like this could be my lucky day:):)
Fantastic News .

Here's not too bad it's just that particular one that Locarr & Clipstrip mentioned is evil!!They seriously have security that end up getting called over to tell people to leave the seller alone until they've unpacked:eek::eek::eek::eek:Think savage whoopsie time x 100:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
We did a couple of car boots years ago in a local school playground, I think I'm still traumatised the way people stick their head in the boot & start rummaging round, nobody had warned me & then they mutter something under their breath like ticket touts do "Got any gold/silver/whatever ?"
Had to restraint myself from saying "If I had I wouldn't sell it to you, push off old chap " :rotfl:0 -
No T's so far today:T:T:Tso am impressed with myself.
Just had a phone call from DS's school that has made him and me happy. He has to sit two 3 hour entrance STEP exams for Cambridge (He knows he's already got the A' level grades he needs:T) and the school wanted him to sit it in a hall with all the lower years who are doing 1 & 2 hour exams which means twice during his exam he'll have kids scraping chairs and walking out etc. I know it sounds petty but the exam is really hard and he is really worried about it. His fave maths teacher has just phoned and said she's managed to arrange it for him to do in a room on his own with an examiner so thats put a smile on his face:)
Well done.
A 'few' years ago when my son had his French oral and translation exams, I asked if one he could do it in a separate room and two, could he have a person talking to him instead of listening to an audio tape. As he is deaf and hearing impaired, I didn't think that this was an unusual request as he couldn't hear anything thro' the audio players headset - even at high volume! The request was refused. I asked if he could use his own audio player as he could hear sometghing thro that. Again refused. A consultant from GOSH wrote a letter to the school explaining that it would be pointless sitting the exam without doing it on a one-to-one basis or at the very least, his own player. Again this was refused. DS had the embarrassment of handing in a named, dated blank sheet. When he did the oral, he couldn't hear anything on the player, so was unable to repeat the words to the examiner. He failed his French exam.0 -
