Well just had the most amazing phone call from OH, he had received a letter in the post containing a cheque for an extreme amount of money which is to cover my FIL's funeral costs, and it only leaves us with a bill of £42 to pay. I had written to the BT and explained situation to them about FIL's death - he worked for BT for approx 30 years - and they decided to pay for most of the funeral costs. You wouldn't believe what a burden that has taken off our shoulders. I am absolutely over the moon and am just about to write a thank you letter off to them now. All we had to pay for was the announcement in the newspaper and they covered everything else.:T:T:T

So if anyone from the BT benevolent fund is reading this i would just like to say, you guys are amazing and i can't thank you enough. :j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j

And to Fudge 2 also a big Thank You to you too, i think i had better go and buy a lottery ticket as it looks like this could be my lucky day:):)
Bensonsmum what a wonderful gesture from BT at a worrying time for you and good luck with your lottery ticket:A

Anyone in NI found these magazines. I suspect they're being PC because they have the union jack on them.75_75.gif

Was thinking the same thing, ni-mum. I live in Derry, so it makes sense. You know what some people can be like.

Shame we have to miss out on free MAM products because of it :(

for crying out loud:mad:. i was 38 mins into big brother when the cat walks over the keyboard and resets big brother to the begining.

why does the cat HAVE to walk on the keyboard? why cant he walk round the back?

You should know better MMW, it's the cat's prerogative to walk wherever he chooses:)

Got my first whoopsie glitch today! 3 packs of pepper beef steak (from the 3 for £8.00). Reduced to £1.49 a pack then a further £2.50 taken off giving a total of just under 2 quid.

Was so pleased. I know there has been better bargains got by members on here, but it was my first one so was well chuffed! :j

It was. Got excited when I seen 3 packs!

Wasn't sure it was going to work, but as the beef steaks were down to a decent price already I thought it was worth a try. :D

What RootedNomad said is very true, you remind me so much of my Mum actually :AYou are an amazingly strong, courageous and selfless lady and always thinking of others. You are wonderful. So pleased to hear Mum's temp stayed down overnight and she was alert. I do hope that the Doctors had some helpful advice and treatment proposal in their rounds and Mum will be feeling stronger soon. Please look after yourself :Axxxxxxxxxx

QPR - Hope all went well at the docs, sorry your finger isn't looking too clever :(

celebrate - A wonderful, strong, brave, caring, savvy ;) and determined lady, worth her weight in gold :D Well done you lovely lady for drawing a line in the sand and finally valuing your happiness above what that ignorant ex of yours ever did. You deserve far more and I hope that on this new path, both yourself and your children will achieve that. As you and others and said, there will be times where you second guess yourself but even we know you've put up with enough, let alone the majority which I'm sure you thoroughly edited. So when you're feeling sad, draw strength from how much you put up with, how many chances you gave and how you'll never have to feel like that again. We are here for you, you will not only get through this, you will flourish :Axxx

brand8 - What a gorgeous little post about how happy you are :T I'm so so so pleased to hear that you discovered the happiness you deserved all along :A

3Dogs - Sooooooooooooooooooo pleased to hear that it's a good day in the 3Dogs household! :j:j:j Here's hoping the slow release morphine will have a constant sedatory effect on Alan's symptoms and this leads to him being comfortable for much longer periods :A

    FK - GORGEOUSSSSSS piccies! :T

ToNik - Beautiful post from you last night and I loved your pics of the pups! Awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww!!!! I want Midge!!!! :happyhear

FloFlo - I'm so sorry to hear of the loss of your FIL and no doubt devastating impact it's had on your OH and yourself also. You've had so much to cope with already this year, I wish you continued strength over the coming weeks. Sending great big cuddles smiley-hug013.gif

MrRumples - Happy Birthday to your DD :bdaycake:

blondy - Belated b'day wishes to you, hope your hotel stay was wonderful and relaxing :D

Nannylala - smiley-hug013.gif Bless your little cotton socks. Your posts make we wanna give you a great big cuddle :A I will be thinking of you, Nikki, Auntylala and your family over the coming week and wishing you the best of luck for your sister's op. Though it's a very sad and testing time, I hope that like me and my Mum, you and your sister will be able to enjoy some real quality time together, time that you may never have done if it weren't for such an occasion. Some of my greatest memories and times of feeling most loved are when Mum was staying with me in hospital when I was younger. I am sure that the bond you and Auntylala have will become even stronger :A I do so love Weymouth :D

freddies flyers two - Hope today is a better day for you and you enjoyed watching the torch relay :)
