    I've been Money Tipped!
I didn't bother but was well aware of the 'risk' I was taking. It personally didn't bother me but then nothing went wrong!

What if your venue burns to the ground and you have to rearrange everything? It wont just cover the cost of your venue but also the money you'd lose to rearrange everything else.
There was a bride on here who this happened to btw.

Most people never use their home, holiday, life insurance. But it makes sense to still get it. You don't know what tomorrow will bring.
What matters most is how well you walk through the fire

I do understand what you are saying and I really don't mean to harp on but even £125 is what, less than 1% of your wedding cost?

Our wedding is tiny too, and we dont have to pay for food until the day before if we don't want to but it's more of....

what if my photographer fell ill the day before and the only photographer I could find was double the price?
what if (god forbid), my flat burnt down and we needed to cancel or re-arrange the wedding?
what if someone stole our gifts from the reception room?

I got ours through dreamsaver and have more than enough coverage for our day, even something is better than nothing. I am not a massive fan of paying for things unnecessarily but considering how much money is at stake I just couldn't imagine not having it.

    :(

Very happily married on 10th April 2013 :D

I think it would be worth finding out what you would be covered for, as if you have already paid a deposit for your venue then you may not be covered if it got flooded/fire damaged. If it won't cover this part of your day then you may decide it isn't worth the £125 fee.

It's been mentioned on here before, the OP has a fantastic venue which unfortunately was over £100 a head.

I can't wait to see the photos, the venue looks amazing!
Forty and fabulous, well that's what my cards say....

Daisy, my insurance cost about the same as your quotes. Please don't tempt fate and skip the insurance-we have the same venue!! To be honest my dad sorted ours out and we did it before we paid a penny in deposits so hopefully we'll be covered if anything happens. I think the most likely thing is being let down at the last minute by one of the smaller suppliers, or the florist etc going bust/disappearing with the deposit (looking on the bright side I know!). I guess it's more a piece of mind thing.
