Really good sales on eBay this weekend so I've now only to find £203 to hit £500 on emergency fund now...may take a few weeks but at least I should be back on track for October..

well done joanne on the ebay sales. It feels good to be dealing wiht lifes unexpected expenditure with real cash rather than it going on the we'll deal with that another day credit cards.

Thanks hidden and dprovan...am still feeling a little sore about the huge dent in my emergency pot but youre both right I know theyll be bumps n the journey...and as you say at least not on the evil cc,s!!!

I'm steadfastly refusing to let September set me back....more sales this evening mean I now only need to find £167.59...

£169.59 and counting down ......

At least you had the emergancy fund to cover it, or you'd have been £500 more in debt so thats the good side Plus your doing great at making it back this month

So true hidden...better than in days gone by when the credit card would've taken a hit....

The sakes in eBay have made me feel a little better about it...gonna work my self hard today to list some more...think it's still free insertion fees at mo...appreciate Tuesday isn't the best day but might run a 30 day listing to make the most of the zero fees

Just a quick check in....been a really tough week...had the flu and have lost the plot with where I'm at with the finances ....I'm quite sure we've overspent as I've had to rely on hubby to do some bits for me and I know he s not as careful as me!

Still got loads to get on eBay but feeling thismwayni doubt ill manage it this weekend ....

I'll check in later wheni have more of clue where I'm at!

Ok it's been a rocky September but I've battled through .... Result...£240 in emergency fund so. £260 to find...

Over £3000 paid off since June and on target with food shopping every week since June too...

So on the whole a good start on the debt free journey...but my patience is so thin...I just want it gone yesterday!!! I've noticed some bad habits creeping in too..a latte here a new lipstick here...all linked to my emotions as I've not been well and had a bump in the road with the car fiasco!

I'm trying to stay positive and focused by reminding myself that it could be worse and at least nothing has gone on the credit card since June so it's only getting better each day....but I have to say its soooo hard to stay positive and focused at the mo!

But I'm soldiering on!
