...the expensive buggy that I couldn't afford at the time but bought anyway...old car seat that was the best in class but I shouldn't have bought cos I couldn't afford...
Joanne, this made me smile. I have the best of everything. There was no way our children would not have the best available whatever.. all on ccs.
I actually have bits and pieces of memorabillia I bought for the kids as investments! In reality they were bought on ccs:o by the time i calculate the interest over the years they would need to be rare picasso's to be cost effective.
I will get working on this. Thanks for the tip.0 -

Okey dokey...up bright and breezy and I'm on a mission....to eBay every last item that I have stacked to the brim in my spare room....there has to be circa 45 items in there ...so it's a challenging mission...but I'm determined to do it!!!
Once I've accomplished mission no 1... I'm on to mission no 2... A much more challenging mission but one which will reap much more reward...did I mention I bought a property overseas in 2003 which I've never ever let as a holiday let?! I know...don't say it I know what you're all thinking...WHAT?! So tomorrow will be dedicated to researching how best to approach this with minimum hassle but maximum financial reward....wish me luck!!!!LBM 8/6/12

Ok...weekend not quite as fruitful as I'd hoped....still have around 14 items to list on eBay...I got so bored and fed up after a while! Will get the rest on by the weekend....sold more stuff tho...now up to a whopping £200'ish made. ...left some in the account to cover any issues but sent £89.53 to b card today and updated my sig accordingly...
I'm finding myself in a constant dream like state at the mo...running and re-running calculations on how i could clear this debt by this time next year...I'm obsessing about it almost ....not always a good sign as I've been here before and gotten depressed at the slow rate of clearing the debts....at least I now know the trigger signs tho..:(
Shopping came in under budget again...Just under £64 this week another record...:TLBM 8/6/12

Hi Joanne, sounds like you are making great progress and have learned from previous experiences. It has to be helpful that you can spot those challenges to the motivations that i imagine we all have. A reduction of 7% in such a short timeframe is wonderful.0

Well done on the shopping coming under budget. I've restarted my grocery challenge for this month and am not doing too badly so far - mind you, we're only a few days into the challenge
Time will tell for me :P
Good one though, and keep it up!

Arghhh!!!
Day 1 of the newly dubbed.."setback" September...
Car no 2 had its service mot today...£500 later I'm completely cleared out of my emergency fund!! (bearing in mind I'd already saved £250 towards mot, service and repairs ...you can see why I'm distraught!)
Went shopping nice and early this morning to allow myself the whole day to eBay list...got to the checkout...bank card left at home...arghh!! 2 hours later I'm back home having spent just over £74 on a shop which really only needed to be £60!!! That's what happens when you're whiz zing round for a second time in the same day...
And finally...I'm now wrapped up in bed with a lemsip...yep...sore throat and the sniffles...
Am not liking September one bit nor am I liking having to start from scratch to rebuild an emergency fund before being able to pay another penny off my debt
Grrrrr........LBM 8/6/12

Keep your chin up you've done great since starting, there will always be ups and downs
Hope your feeling better soon x0 -
Last month was the setback for me, I'm determined not to let September be a Setback one. It will pick up (hugs). Hope you feel better soon.

Thanks hidden and K ...after the initial annoyance I've picked myself up again ...26 items listed on eBay today with £70 in PayPal for items sold this week (obviously fees and p&p have to come out of this yet) so finers crossed should clear £50 towards the emergency fund rebuild..
Had a lovely day with the kids today too.la trip to a well known theme park on tesco vouchers meant a full day out for £6! And thats only because they charged £6 parking,...nightmare! Kids spent £1 each of their piggy bank savings on postcards and we were out for almost 7 hours...a great day!
Off to beddy byes now-I'm shattered! Night night all!LBM 8/6/12
