Problems with foreign student

If you're his 4th family then its obviously his behaviour that's the problem not yours. I imagine that if he was polite and respectful you wouldn't mind about the showers/ food/ internet as much but as he's not these have become more of an issue.
If I was you I would phone up head office and give them 24hrs to remove him. His parents could probably do with the wake up call of him being sent home, as could he.
You' re not his parent so you don't have to put up with him. Send him home and they can.0 -
Get him gone before he puts you off doing it ever again - the flexibility of it means that if either party isn't happy they can say so. I know you feel responsible and want to make sure that all your students have a nice experience - but sometimes personalities just don't gel. Then all the little niggly things that you would usually let slide start to be major bug bears - don't let it get to there - has he gone yet?0

Kick him out then. I have to say however, that I'm perplexed why taking two showers is such a bad thing? Surely that's standard for everyone anyway?
Is it really?!
There are seven people living in my house and I've got a water meter... 14 showers a day would push me into bankruptcy just with the water bill never mind the electricity :rotfl:Mum of several with a twisted sense of humour and a laundry obsession

Having had two boys myself the eating is pretty normal, the rudeness isn't, if your living in someone elses house whether you've paid for bed and board or not politeness and respect cost nothing.
As far as the showers go one of mine was seriously adverse to water until we threatened to bath him with or without clothes on, the other had no problems showering once daily.
As far as the norm for most people is two showers a day I disagree, I myself have a shower most days but shock, horror some days I don't have a shower at all, it all depends on whether I'm working or not, these days we seem to be obsessed with being ultra clean, years ago people didn't feel the need to shower daily and I certainly don't recall any of my family or friends being smelly.
But back to the OP if your not happy with his behaviour then ask him to leave.Paid off so far Natwest overdraft £1900 Kays catalogue £200 Personal Loan £2500 Tax Credit £1300 J D Williams

It is here and is normal for most people I know. Two is the minimum actually.
God only knows what people are doing in order to need two showers a day in this country! Some Americans and Australians I know do take two but they live somewhere hot and dirty, so perhaps this objectionable little sod comes from somewhere like the Far East, who knows?
Still, excessive water-use isn't all of the problem: his arrogance and lack of consideration are and that's all the reason I'd need to get shot of him, pronto.0 -

I can only think its either a health issue or having to use the gym in the middle of the day, so showering and shaving for chaps in the morning and then later too.
I sometimes have to shower (don't have one of those atm) or bath more than once a day because i am dealing with animal muck through the day more than once, and going out in cold mud etc, but i would be a bit worried if my normal cleaner activities necessitated showering twice a day, as opposed to a shower and a wash of key pots at the other end of the day.
If i am not doing mucky stuff or working up a sweat i can go more than a day without a shower, i have an old fashioned wash.0 -
I have two a day - morning so that I feel fresh for the day and to help wake me up and night because I always think its nicer for 'loving' with OH0

Any chance that turning on water on in the kitchen makes the shower go cold? Might be an effective way of stopping him jumping the queue?!
He's being rude. He's in a homestay, not a hotel. Therefore he needs to abide by your rules. Give him an ultimatum, with the rules in writing, then get rid if he ignores you again.:happyhear0 -
says who 1 is enough unless you have been working really hard or we have really hot day(no chance of that happening here:D)It is here and is normal for most people I know. Two is the minimum actually.
