I wouldn't give her the benefit of the doubt!!! You're obviously far too nice a person that you're trying to make excuses for her silence. Friends like this woman who blow hot and cold are not true friends at all. We've recently ended a friendship that had proved to be nothing more than us providing favours/babysitting/cat sitting/lending books, garden equipment etc., lifts when her ailing car broke down, and very little thanks or even no thanks at all. It's horrible and hurtful and caused great resentment. And to be honest, we really haven't missed the person in question at all, nor all the endless favour requests!0
