Seeing the advice to travel by train to the US, is it now the case that the Visa Waiver programme operates for overland entry into the States?

My fiance lives in the states so I am a visa waiver expert!!

Here is a great link for the US Embassy in London Visa Waiver Wizard:

    http://london.usembassy.gov/cons_new/visa/visa_wizard.html

But basically visa waiver is available for entry via land but you need to fill in I-94W and pay a $6 fee in US dollars.

    Hope this helps

Blimey! Was their website written by a computer studies student? It must be the worst commercial one I have ever seen!

You might want to checkout this site for FlyGlobespan Passenger comments

    http://www.airlinequality.com/Forum/flygspan.htm

This website doesn't have the best reputation in terms of reviews - it has been known to not post positive ones for a certain other airline owned by the beardy one for example.

Also remember people are much more likely to moan and tell others when things go wrong.

    Hi Folks,
I fly regularly to Canada, Calgary mainly but a few years ago I was on my second trip with air Transat and was flying from Heathrow to Calgary or so I thought when we were nearing Calgary we were politely informed that because of other delays the flight we were on would fly on to Vancouver and then back to calgary so other passengers would not be delayed, we landed in Vancouver 3 hours later and then after unloading all baggage, hauling it thru customs and then loading it back on the same plane after a delay of five hours we eventually flew into calgary 17 hours late, My brother was waiting at the airport to collect ushe lives in Edmonton a return trip of 8 hours by car. so he waited he recieved no information as to the delay and we recieved no apology or compensation, NEVER fly Air Transat.
I now fly at least once every year or two by regular airlines with discounted tickets and the service is usually good.
    Best of luck.

Having flown with Globespan for several years to destinations such as Tenerife, Malaga, Alicante and Orlando, I would say they are no better or worse than other 'budget' airlines in terms of punctuality or standard of cabin quality/legroom. In their favour, they do issue allocated seating (also pre-bookable) on all their flights.

I have been using Canadian affair for many years. They have always had the best prices I can find on flights and on hotels too. They have very good prices to lots of Canadian destinations.

We got married in Canada in August last year and used Canadian Affair for our air travel and accommodation. I would highly recommend them - Sheraton Centre is a fantastic base for the city!!
