Are we REALLY in a Recession? I mean REALLY?

I would suggest that Theatre Ticket Sales does not dictate the end of civilisation.
As an aside, I attend our local Theatre at every show, on the first show (as it's cheaper).Bringing Happiness where there is Gloom!0 -

Its not the lack of sales, its the restrictions in the Arts Council etc funding we need to be worried about. If you don't believe that lack of subsidy marks the end of civilisation, then listen to Sir Humphrey on the subject at: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zvNw0P5ZMbA0 -
I would rather have a vibrant economy than a vibrant Theatre production.Bringing Happiness where there is Gloom!0

The one thing I will concede to with MrRees silly little thread is that when it comes to austerity we are not even close to the suffering of other countries such as Spain, Ireland, Greece and a few others.
But you try posting on this subject on political boards defending the Tories stance(and I have in though I cant stand Cameron) and you will be taken to the cleaners. I personally think that the austerity cuts have not been as bad as I thought they would be, but there are millions out there that will tell you otherwise.0 -

Yes, but he's the best at what he does (working in a bar and winding people up).30 Year Challenge : To be 30 years older. Equity : Don't know, don't care much. Savings : That's asking for ridicule.0 -

You, my dear lost soul, cannot even string a sentence together!
When I can earn £1750 a day consultancy fee ( google LEAN Six Sigma Black Belt Consultancy Fees and you will see that I am pretty reasonable!). I don't want/need to work everyday ... I am retired, collecting my Pension, working part time and I must thank you for paying taxes so that I get the winter fuel allowance which heats my swimming pool.
I have a full life, thanks :TBringing Happiness where there is Gloom!0 -

It was £1500 a day for quite a long time .... it's just now that the fees can be increased.
I'm simply catching up with some inflationary aspects.Bringing Happiness where there is Gloom!0 -

"Quite a long time" being the quite a short time after it was £700 a day ?
