Are we REALLY in a Recession? I mean REALLY?

See, I just don't get it.
I was in Town on Sunday - plenty of spending going on.
SOLD signs on all the houses for sale around our way.
House prices holding very firm indeed.
We are receiving payrises well ahead of inflation in my Company - and have done for decades now.
Brand New Cars populate our roads around here and everyone is looking forward to wonderful summer holidays wherever they like.
It's either going to get much worse and it will start hurting here - or it has past us by, if there ever was anything at all to concern oneself about.
And I say REJOICE, the recession is a figment of someone's imagination.

Yes! REALLY!"When the people fear the government there is tyranny, when the government fears the people there is liberty." - Thomas Jefferson0 -
I would suggest that a very large proportion of the population are not affected by it in any way.
A few people I know are on tracker mortgages, in secure jobs and have never had it so good.0 -
I like Mr Ree he makes me want to smoke weed, engage in Morris Dancing, clap my hands and cheer.
No offence to Morris Dancers I think it is a very entertaining pastime.0 -
I am genuinely confused you see?
I witness not one bit of recession - it is life as usual.
So, is it going to get worse? Or is it all smoke and mirrors?Bringing Happiness where there is Gloom!0 -
