Technically that is a tricky one, as although yes you pressed the load to card, you didn't get a confirmation to say it had been successful, but you still went on and shopped.

It will be interesting to see if anyone manages to convince Amex to pay up on this. My feeling is that you will be very lucky, but we will have to see. Good luck.

Just another 'me too' post on the not working side! Used in Tesco & Cafe Rouge fine last week but tried EAT today and could check-in fine but it stayed grey rather than switching to orange therefore couldn't load offer. Just went to the co-op for a sandwich instead!

No word from Amex but this is now working for me - have successfully checked in to both Pizza Express and Nandos and loaded the specials to my card. Am now sat enjoying a Nandos lunch for £1.15

I've just checked into Bella Italia again and loaded the special. I'll wait a few days and see if they credit it back for Sunday's trip.

Amex said the issue is resolved on Twitter so fingers crossed all is OK now. Will be trying out tomorrow, need to make up for the annoyance of our wasted trip on Saturday!

In my Nokia(symbian) I could do check-in, unlock, and load to card (Note: it comes as 'redeem' not 'load to card' in Nokia 4SQ old symbian app) all at the same time.
This could be done in sequence at home or at a convenient place making sure your phone has adequate network/wifi coverage.

Some shops have no network and GPS coverage - so it is waste of time attempting to do this exercises when you are out and about.

Has anyone tried doing this with a second card holder yet? Have now claimed everything on my card so hoping to do the same with a new foursquare account linked to my wife's card.

Unlikely to work unless you each have entirely separate Amex accounts.

I have a supplementary card for my other half on my Nectar Credit Card. I just rang AMEX customer services to check.

The lady on the phone said she was absolutely certain the offers are there for the supplementary cardholder as well so we get double the bonus (her words)... I shall be going Nandos again this weekend me thinks
