    Some people have asked Amex UK on twitter about this and they said they were looking into it yesterday... Myself and partner both had this issue yesterday. Very annoying as we went to that town specifically for the Primark and Nandos. I used my card successfully on Tuesday in Primark (Lloyds TSB Amex with app on iphone 4 fully updated), and Saturday it wouldnt work at all for me or partner (plain Amex card with iphone 4s updated) in Primark, Nandos or House of Fraser. It seems it is still working for some though? Wondering if it isn't liking the iphone update? Though it did work for me fine on Tuesday... Hoping they can provide answers soon

    When I did this successfully last week at Tesco, I checked in, and the special offer from Amex changed colour from grey to orange. When I selected the "load to card" it successfully applied the offer.

    When I try any of the other offers now, after the checkin the special offer doesn't change colour, it stays grey, and then when I press load to card it comes back saying I am not checked in.

    Looks to me as a problem foursquare server end.

    Hopefully they will fix it next week.
  • Glad other people are having the same problems, thought it was only me. Worked perfectly for the first 2 weeks and since last wednesday / thursday just get a greyed out button!
    Hopefully gets fixed quickly.

    The Android version I have is 14/06/2012, which is really since the 'LOAD TO CARD' function failed. I don't see a newer update.

    Amex on Twitter say they are aware of the problem and will let me know when it's fixed.

    that was happening on mine on saturday, but as it said check in and then shop when we pressed the load to card button, and we had already checked in, then i shopped. Went on a special trip to the big city for it. will be very angry should they mess up the deal and leave us with a bill. Did everything amex and foursquare told us too.

    I had this issue at Bella Italia yesterday as well. I'll wait to see if they fix the issue, but personally I'm ready to bin FourSquare. What a gratuitous app.

    In the interim, I suggest that no-one visit any of the places until we hear back from Amex via PeteW....

    Personally I only plan to use Foursquare to get the Amex offers, won't use it for anything else.

    The offers run for another 2 months, so hopefully we will all be able to use them to the max, once they fix the app.
