Well done for taking it on the chin, pilgrim (obviously said in a John Wayne voice). Much more inviting as you walk down the path.
Personally speaking I would lose 2 of the 3 things on the fire and also the black chair in the corner to open up that bureau.
Oh- and polish your towel rail in the bathroom.
But you're in with a fighting chance now - good luck.
I would move everything off the fire, otherwise you are just drawing attention to it. Maybe put the thermometer thingie on the bureau to draw the eye over there. And definitely lose at least one black chair, or at least move to the other side of the room. They deem him their worst enemy who tells them the truth. -- Plato0 -

Listing on Rightmove - http://www.rightmove.co.uk/property-for-sale/property-23631135.html
Feedback welcome so I can pass on to EA...2nd bedroom was still a mess, so am just staging that and will add pics.
The ground floorplan looks incorrect - it shows a huge "family room" off the lounge and kitchen/diner which I assume is not actually present?!
Otherwise, looking very good (and defo MUCH better than when you started).
ETA: I wasn't going to comment on price, because I don't know the area, but will just note that this one is within 1/2 mile and has an extra bedroom + a cloakroom, for considerably less money:

(And yes, wow I am amazed at the reasonableness of the prices round your way)
And - you might want to get them to edit "this two bedroom home is perfect for those seeking a first time" bwahahahahahaha or you might not get the visitors you are expecting ;-)They deem him their worst enemy who tells them the truth. -- Plato0 -
Don't usually check this particular forum (clicked by mistake!) but just wanted to congratulate the OP - not only did he take all the constructive criticism and advice really well he actually used it!
OP your house looks 100% better now and I wish you a speedy and uncomplicated sale.
PS. Assuming OP is a "he"...apologies if you're not!

Wow what a difference, I was just going to add that removing the nets would help but you have done just that.
The whole house looks so much different well done and good luck in selling.0 -

Just wanting feedback on the lounge gas fire - is it really so dated it MUST be changed or hidden with a screen?
Good to hear you have had viewings.
The fire does look awful (IMO), not sure that a screen would be a better idea though. I would remove the clock as it just draws attention to it!0 -

i don't think it is awful. Old fashioned, but if clean and functional then it wouldn't put too many people off. They can change it if they want!0 -
I wouldn't do anything about the gas fire, especially as your house isn't a high priced one.
If I was viewing your house I'd note that there was a gas point in the room for me to be able to have my own gas fire installed and that would be a plus for me.
Don't bother hiding it behind a screen either, just leave it as it is. Viewers will tend to want to look behind the screen anyway. It may not be the most attractive fire available, but as long as it's in working condition then it will be serviceable for any buyer until they can have one of their own choosing put in. The rest of the house is looking good & that should be enough to encourage offers. The bigger the bargain, the better I feel.
I should mention that there's only one of me, don't confuse me with others of the same name.0 -
For the photo's at least I would remove the chairs either side of the fire (pics 2&9). They really do draw the eye as they are dark and they don't add anything to the room (in my view at least). The difficulty you have with this room is that there is a mixture of styles, some very modern and some 'retro'
The more furniture you have in there the more apparent it is.
The fire is not a thing of beauty, but as a buyer (especially at your AP) I would be of the opinion I could change it idc. In the meantime I may like to use it so I would be asking if it had been serviced and is safe.
Your back garden looks lovely.
Which is your garage in the last pic? If it is the middle one have you considered smartening it up with some paint and maybe weeding out the grass. (Why does grass grow where you don't want it in the drive and refuse to grow in patches in the lawn???)
You really have done an excellent job improving the presentation. It is a good idea to be alone in a garden at dawn or dark so that all its shy presences may haunt you and possess you in a reverie of suspended thought.
