Wow. quick turn around indeed.
Im a little annoyed I didn't leave it till later in the month now...
Love chasing after those crucial extra days worth of interest when the larger sums are in.
Nevermind. A good account, so I'm happy.0 -
Sent off the forms on Thursday (first class post, but not recorded delivery) , cheque cashed Monday, passbook arrived at home yesterday morning. Now that's what I call service!!!

mine rolled in today posted back recorded delivery cos i sent original ID i was well impressed with that
also worth noting loughborough appear to pay interest the day following receipt :j unlike most the other institutions that dont pay interest on cheque deposits until the 3rd working day following receipt :mad:0 -
In my passbook the opening deposit appears as:
20/03/07 Cheque (30/03/07)
What does the "(30/03/07)" date mean? Thank you.I know nothing0 -

That is the date that the money is theoretically available for withdrawal. i.e. it becomes cleared funds. Loughborough state that cheques clear "after 7 banking days"

This may seem silly but who do I make the cheque payable to when applying for this account?0
