Hello,
For this Loughborough account, do you have to send a certified copy of your passport and/ or birth certificate, or can I send photocopies? I got my passport certified for a selftrade account by a solicitor but I had to pay £15. They didn't send it back though.0 -
you can send a copy of your driving licence uncertified. Passport needs to be certified0

My first payment was made by cheque which will clear this week. When I called Loughborough on Saturday, I was told that SO payments must hit the account by the 28th of each month. Mine will be sent on the 1st and will arrive same day from LTSB.
The account T&C's confirm what I was told on Saturday.• 11 from 12 monthly payments must be made each year and must reach the Society by 28th of each month. Please call me 'Kazza'.0 -
Quite separately two days ago I handed over a cheque to someone who had done work for me at lunch time and before close of business on the same day it was debited from my Lloyds account. I'm assuming that the person who handed in the cheque was also with Lloyds, but have never known a cheque to be deducted so instantly. I had imagined at the earliest the next day, so may be Lloyds are speeding up.
It's always been the same with LTSB, or more precisely the TSB part. Any cheques issued on accounts with a 77 xx xx sort code paid in at a LTSB counter will be debited to the account immediately (assuming there are cleared funds to meet payment). For this reason always make sure you have sufficient cleared funds available to meet any cheques as you issue them.Official Mascot and Chief Cheerleader for the 'Mortgage Free in Three' Gang0 -
My application along with a LLoyds-TSB cheque (30 XX XX) for £250 was posted 1st class saturday - The cheque was cashed/cleared yesterday ! Should get the passbook in the next couple of days hopefully.0

My account sort code is 30 XX XX Lloyds I presumed as I have always been with them.0 -
Mrs MMD drove to Loughborough today and opened one of these - safer than posting those proofs of ID or faffing with certified copies. Luckily she had to go somewhere only a few miles from there anyway.
Glad to see the building society movement doing so well :S - she was in at lunchtime and didn't have to queue at all to get served.0 -
jus a quick one when you set up the reference on the standing order you put in your account number is this right? thanks in advance.0
