Good luck to all that are planning to move from this poor old has been of a country.
We (O/h and me ) would love to live in Cyprus, but for the time being family commitments stop us ( elderly parents ) but we have decided on the next best thing and that is to rent our house out for the summers and travel. We are going to Oz this year for 6 weeks. The house( no mortgage ) will be let for holiday lets through a company, much better money than a long term let. I appreciate you would need to live somewhere where people would wish to holiday but its a thought for those with itchy feet who wish to travel, as it is covering our holday.Away with the fairies.... Back soon0 -

I did it the other way and moved to the UK nearly 11 years ago from Canada.
I love my life here and don't think I could ever go back!
The adjustments were a lot harder than I ever expected and I get really wound up when people ask me WHY I moved (why do people who don't know me feel it's ok to second guess my decsions?)
Enjoy the experience, life life to the full!!

But Bunny....WHY did you move...:D
Only joking, I think moving to a new country is a brave and exciting thing to do - I don't think I could do it, although I have a dream at the back of my mind about having a little gite in Brittany.....maybe one day, if I win the lottery!"I wasn't wrong, I just wasn't right enough.":smileyhea97800072589250 -
Hey bunny :-)
Mr Slim is a Canadian - he came over here for me, and has been here about 2.5 years, but our long term plan (5-6 years time) is to go back there.
Although I understand the summers can be hellishly hot and the winters bitterly cold (when I go over it's a novelty but he swears I'll hate snow when I've had to shovel it twice daily!! - hate snow? I can't believe it!!)
I love the UK but Canada's pretty cool too
