  • Hi all,

Just caught up on the thread, and I have to add my voice to those in support of Moggins

Bless you hunni, you've put up with alot, and even the pacifists amongst us would've loved to chin him after that comment at the party (insensitive, ungrateful $%^&)

    I'll now be frivolous :
You should change those stupid locks,
you should throw away the key,
if you think for just one second he'll be back to bother yee

(think of it in a Geordie accent, it rhymes - honest!)

Big hugs honey, PM me with what kind of work you're looking for, I'm surfing the job sites daily cos of my situation, and if I see anything I'll send it to you.

You've got lots of friends here, who all care for you

Haven't managed to get on here for several days - but good to hear from Moggins - been thinking about you lots. I'm sure all will turn out for the best - but it's not always easy getting through all the hassle first. Take care of yourself and remember that everyone on here is rooting for you.

Good evening to all and welcome to the newbies:j
I am a relative newbie myself and getting well and truely stuck in to the money saving aspect of OS. Have taken advice and started meal planning and then writing (very) detailed shopping list. I go on the supermarket website and even get the prices so I can compare while still at home therefore spending the least amount of time in the supermarket being tempted to buy unneccesary stuff;)
big hugs to all those who need them(((((())))))
hope everyone has a good nights sleep (just what I am in need of) and think a big glass of wine will go a long way to helping :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
have day off from being NHS slave tomorrow and will just be a 3yo's slave (pick me up, carry me , get me a drink etc) no sure what is more exhausting:D

Well my get up and go had to come back quick, as just as I had clicked send on my last post, got a call from the kitchen where DH was washing up and wiping down. We knew we had been having problems with the drain fro the sink/Dishwasher, and emptied a full bottle of Mr Muscle Drain Cleaner down on Sunday, but it had obviously not fixed the problem. The sudsie water from the bit he washed up by hand and gone into the dishwasher as it couldnt go away, and we had a dishwasher full of suds, and water on the laminate floor:rolleyes:
So we had to take drain apart, (guess who was the plumbers mate and guffer?). We had bought some 3in1 Dishwasher Tablets fro Makro and what we found seems to think they they do not disolve and set like concrete. But to get to it all we had to have the dishwasher, washer and dryer out, now our kitchen is 9' wide and 13' long but has a breakfast bar which makes it around 9' square with all 3 appliances out of their respective "holes". to say it way tight was a slight undertstatment, but at least the floors under them and the tops of them got a quick wipe. Anyway we are back together again, and trying the dishwasher to see if the suds go away or some over. Keep your fingers crossed.
Thank heavens for a handy man!:A

Why is it I have less time now I am retired then when I worked?
  • ((((hugs)))) moggins If what you have found is SOOOOOO bad then like others have said, kick him out now. Another three weeks of feeling like you do now will not be good for your health and your dear kids are going to see through your attempts to act normally. That wouldn't be fair on them or you. You all deserve better than this. Let his "house of cards" fall around his head. You and your kids can start a new life tomorrow if you choose.

I wonder if there is something in the air that is affecting men at the mo. My XDH has suddenly started acting weird with me. It's pretty much the way he acted when accused me of having an affair with an old boyfriend (3 years AFTER xdh and I had split up btw). The old boyfriend and I ARE in contact but he is a happily married man with grandchildren and his wife knows that he and I write to each other occasionally. We are good friends and nothing more. Still, I don't know what has got xdh so bothered this time and to be honest, I don't have energy or the inclination to do anything about it either. No doubt I will get yet another e-mail that includes an attachment for a song "that explains exactly how he feels". Maybe if he had been able to explain how he feels himself we would never have been in this position. Still, things happen for a reason and there is no going back. Maybe that's his problem??

Ooooooh, sorry. Getting very philosophical for a Tuesday night. Didn't mean to get quite so personal either. Sorry, again.
