Hi, this is the Daily Thread for 13 March 07. This is an “over the garden fence” type thread where we chat about everything OS and maybe a little bit more. It’s a great, inspiring and motivating thread we start each day to discuss what we’re going to do today or what we’ve achieved already. Everyone’s welcome, please do come in, put your feet up (although check the fence hasn’t just been painted first!) and join us for an OS natter. The more the merrier!
When you make a post, if you feel like giving it a title, that will help others that don’t have the time to read everything skim through the thread quickly but if not it's not a problem, we’re a laid back bunch here so you won’t hear any complaints. Please do not start a new daily thread before you go to bed at night because this often leaves things confusing with two daily threads live at the same time. The idea is that a member would start each new daily thread after they get up in the morning
Some people who chat here like to try to answer everyone. Don’t feel you have to though, a general “hi everyone, hope everyone’s well” type start does just as well.
Morning All
Gosh, I'm starting the thread two days on the trot, it's almost like old times! I wish I had something thrilling to share with you all, but for the timebeing at least life continues to be uneventful. I survived going back to w*r* yesterday after my holiday - I could cry really, not that I am lazy, but as someone mentioned in yesterday's thread I just prefer to be at home - alas my need for money overrides my yearning for freedom.
Happy birthday to lilmisskitkat!!! Have a fantastic day, I hope you get lots of cards and lovely presents and can celebrate in style.
Have a safe journey AussieLass and OH, I can't wait to meet you!
Happy Tuesday to everyone else, specially those in pain or ill, or with loved ones in pain or ill.
Bye all

Happy Birthday Lilmisskitcat.
Well it looks nice and mild out there today. Everyone is on the move and I am rather tired. Stayed up later than I should have done reading about Nigerian Scammers being scammed courtesy of the Arms and I have howled with laughter reading one person's account of how they have stringed along a Miss Rosemary for over a year now.
The house needs the usual tidy up after work and there is some ironing to do. I will need an early night tonight though as I can hardly keep my eyes open allready. There will be a bologneise sauce in the SC shortly and the beds made before I go.To anyone who needs one today.
Must go, have a good one.

mrs mix... hope you feel better soon.
well i had some bad news yesterday, as you know i am a carer, i only work from 8-10.30 am tues-friday and 6.30-10am sunday mornings. we were told yesterday that the company that i work for has just lost one of its 3 contracts from socail services, so from 1st april i will loose three quaters of my hours and al lot of my clients that i have been going to for the last four and a half years, so money is going to be tight , it will build back up again with clients but it could take months, and i will miss some of them so much.
im hopeing for another sunny day today, didnt get to walk on the beach yesterday, but got lots of jobs done in the house.
shepards pie for dinner tonight... then the dreaded weigh in at weight watchers !!!!!! i think i have put on again this week !!! oh well ... start again tomorrow
hugs to everyone

Good morning everyone :hello:
I haven't been keeping up with reading the daily thread so a big (((hugs))) to everyone who needs one or is feeling down.
Happy Birthday to lilmisskitkat!
Up and about early this morning. The house smells of baking bread as OH put the bread machine on overnightA normal w**king day for me today. I would love to be at home full time but to get through the day I keep reminding myself about the pay that is due at the end of the money and that it takes me one step closer to retirement .... which is actually years and years away :rotfl:
Did the weekly shop last night and had to make butter when we got home as I'd used up all our supplies when I was baking at the weekend. Managed to get it all done in time to sit down and watch Masterchef.
Breakfast: oats, fruit and HM yoghurt. Glass of orange juice.
Lunch: HM tomato and lentil soup, HM soda bread. Some fruit.
Dinner: Still debating this, but HM savoury pancakes look favourite. Filled with crispy bacon mix and topped with cheese sauce.
Have a lovely OS day everyone :wave:Enjoying an MSE OS life0 -

Happy Birthday lilmisskitkat
Not been on for the last few days. The whole family went to my parents on Saturday for dinner. Had such a nice day. My little nephew is 17 months old and just at that really amusing stage.
Quiet days Sunday and yesterday. Work again today so not much else happening.
Trying to plan a weekend away in May and through my bank a/c there are certain leisure offers and there is a hotel with 2 nights for the price of 1 offer so going to phone them today and get a price.
Quick tidy up tonight and if there is enough dirty clothes will do a wash as well.
Bye for now0 -

thanks for the get well wishes. wrist is aching at the mo and feel a little sick. dont want to take any painkillers till someone else is up as they make me feel woozy. swelling must have gone down as cast feels looser and can feel the pins.
think it is hitting me now how much this is going to affect me but mostly oh, he will be getting minimum sleep for a while.
didnt get anythng done last night, friend came round and made herself cup of tea then inlaws came round sat down and expected to be waited on hand & foot. oh was trying to get the kids ready for bed - they are so thoughtless.
anyway today have really got to try & do some paperwork, it will be a slow process. when dd comes home she wants to try some ironing so that will be help.
best be off now & wake dd up. have a great day all.0 -
Good morning everyone,
Slept ok last night, went to bed 10.10, guess i was asleep by 10.30 - 11, but even though i had the tablets, still woke at 3, then 4, 5 and then stayed awake!!! At least i had at least 4 hours before starting my waking up. Hopefully i will get a bit longer tonight. At one point i did wake and find DD in bed with me (around 4) so no idea what time she came in, but she was all cuddled into me and fast asleep, so i let her stay.
Plans for today, take LO to nursery (only one here today, back to normal) collect a slide for the garden and do a MS before collecting LO again. Im hoping that the slide will fit in my car, we will see later!!!!
DS is meant to have football training later, but he hasnt been going to sleep (still awake when i goto bed) so i said if he didnt go to sleep, he couldnt go to football, but its the sort of thing i like him to do, so not sure if i should let him or not.
Right, better get moving before LO gets here.
Have a lovely birthday Littlemisskitkat xx
PP - hope OH is feeling better today.
N9eav - glad DD is finally home.
((HUGS)) to anyone who wants/needs one xx
Have a lovely day,
Take care xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx0
