make sure you dont accidentaly delete the quote marks either end of the person you are quoting, it looks like the one in your last post didnt work because the name and opening quote marks are missing from the beginning

Im just trying it to see if ive cracked it !!!!
Think i might have to invest in a BM - my boys love baking and im sure theyd like to make their own pizzas. Stupid question i know but does that mean i will need to buy some bread tins or not?

  • i brought a big pizza tray but when i made my loaf i let it cook in the bm,you just have to get used to bread with a hole in one end if you do that (where the hook has been)

I have got a couple of loaf tins i use for cakes etc so i could use them for bread as well i suppose.

    Morning everyone.
Called at Mr T's this morning, was nice a quiet at 7.30am. Just how i like it:D

Spent a total of £37.98, signature updated.

The golden syrup that was mentioned earlier in January's thread is still on offer and I managed to get a couple with the money off coupons as well:j .
That should be more than enough to last us the week except I forgot the margarine for baking, dont know why! It was on the list. Never mind got to go out later to collect OH from work so will have to pop to shops for that. Am going to try making some of Twinks hobnobs. ;)

Well just got back from my first shop of the month. I am slightly over budget but this month is a 5 weeker for me and I managed to delay going shopping for an extra couple of days. This has inspried me to try that again over the next couple of weeks too and hopefully the fifth week will then 'disapper'.
If I can manage it I should come in under budget!!

The BM will cook the bread in the tin for you, you will only need extra bits if you want to cook pizza bases/rolls etc as you will need to get dough out of machine and finish in the oven for these!

I have just done my big monthly shop so will update once I know the true cost
I have decided to try Value Toilet rolls  DH is a real snob and will go mad so I was going to just hide them and see if he notices but he will prob help me unpack the shopping as its later tonight :eek::eek: Oh what to do, he will not use them if he sees them

We're doing well so far. I have a few more days before I need to go in and do a weekly shop. I'm still trying to decide if DH working at the grocery store is a good thing or not. He can pick up a few things we need after work (thus avoiding purchasing extra impulse buys) and bring them home (such as milk or eggs), and we get a 10% discount on purchases (15% around Christmas and Easter). But it's also sometimes TOO easy for him to pick up things that we maybe could do without. We decided to keep the receipts this month, so we can go over them and see what things we are picking up that we don't absolutely need. All those little things can add up!

What will he use then? When in need and all that he'll have no choice! :rotfl: Failing that shop on your own - its usually cheaper if you do that as no DH or DC throwing allsorts of non list items into your trolley - then when he helps you unpack the car make sure you carry loo rolls in and take wrapping off them as quick as you can!!;)

  • Hoping to have a better month than January. Did come in under budget but only just.

It's going to be a 5 week month for us. So must try and concentrate harder

No change to the budget until I can get this under control.

If he objects too strongly then let him buy the posh stuff - then it doesn't come out of your grocery budget :rotfl:
