Thanks Mrs M
I don't think I was put on the Feb list. Never mind. I've still followed the challenge and saved loads!! Thanks everyone.
Just for information: our Feb finishes on 25th Feb and we've got everything we need so we spent in total £99.10 out of £200-saving £100.90 towards our C.A.trip.
We are definitely up for the March G.C.. Got my meal planner sorted out. Please put us down for £200 again for 2 adults-we aim to spend about half again.
Thank you-the G.C. is in good hands.

Can you please put me down for the March grocery challenge. For me it will be February 29th to March 28th ( 4 weeks). I'll stick with the £300 for food, household, cat food and TV mag!
I'd like to knock £20 off the total but have only just scrapped in on target at £300 this month.
Will update sig. later.0 -

It's a good job I've been on the challenge this month - the wind here in Hull today has blown down our fence so that will mean a trip to the DIY tomorrow for new posts and cement:eek:0

Not dim at all, the only dumb question is the one never asked.
I use the orange lentils and just throw a good handful in along with ¾lb mince and the rest of the stuff, usually add 2 carrots grated as well, this is for the 4 of us. I usually take out a portion before serving which is used for a lunch for DH as well.
I do also serve HM bread with all meals like this to act as a filler.

reply to the bees:
if you are using the packs of orange lentils that you would add to lentil soup make sure you rinse them first - they are usually filthy. if you cover them in cold water then mix them about, you will see all the sediment coming off and you need to keep doing this until the water goes clear. married to the man of my dreams! 9-08-090 -

Hi Everyone!
I hope someone on this thread can help me. I have joined the March Food Challenge and want to put details of my budget at the bottom of my replies, but I cannot work out how to do it. I would be grateful if someone can let me know how you do it.
I cannot wait to start the food challenge for next month so it would be great if someone can help me to update my profile.
Thanks in advance and have a nice weekend.
Becky
