No Buying Unnecessary toiletries in June

not really had much time to post but i have been making progress!
UU:
REN travel shower gel - WBA, i love the smell but its a bit like the balance me ones and a bit too like jelly for me.
l’oreal everpure sachets - possible HG, i hate l'oreal for their animal testing stance but i do really like this shampoo. it seems to be the only SLS free one that can actually shift anything like hairspray. i used the john masters on my hair after i'd been on a night out and it was completely useless, i gave up after 3 washes as it had still done barely anything but this stuff shifted it in one go. still got 1/2 tube each if full sizes in these that i got free from ELLE last year.
Liz earle eyebright mini - HG i love this, its so refreshing and takes down redness when i pluck my eyebrows. already replaced
Korres body butter - WNBA this was a bit too thick for me but it smelt gorge!
RMK sachet foundation - WNBA, this made my skin so oily by lunch time!
RMK sachet primer - WNBA, i don't think this did anything tbh!
Liz earle normal moisturizer - HG, already replaced.
iroisie bb cream sachet - WNBA, like the RMK, made my skin ridiculously oily by lunch!
liz earle exfoliator - HG, have already replaced
i had INS but some of them are already UU :rotfl:
santaverde cleanser
Avene Cleanser sample
Avene moisturiser sample
irioise BB cream sachet (UU)
RMK sachet foundation (UU)
RMK sachet primer (UU)
l'oreal everpure sachets (UU)0 -
I don't know if I would say I've graduated, as I still have some hand creams, shower gels and body lotions to use up, but I think I will stop counting my ins and UUs
and I will still keep up with the thread...it's the best place for reviews of toiletries!
On that note...I'd like to give a 5 star review to the no7 microdermabrasion facial scrub. I've been using twice weekly for the last fortnight and I'm noticing a difference already, skin is less congested and much smoother. Happy days xx
I have this in my stash from the Jan sale. Good to hear that it works for you. I'm looking forward to using it.

Any tips gratefully received on what I am doing wrong here as they emphasise on the Q how evenly they burn.

don't know what to advise kiplingmonkey. I've found the only way to stop the soot marks on the jar is to use a shade (mind you get soot marks on that instead!). I only light my jar candle if I'm sure to get at least 3 hours' burn time. You're not burning in a draught are you??SansPareil wrote: »A near miss today, body shop have loads of items half price. It's time's like this that it's good that I don't work near any High Street shops anymore although I am bobbing into town on Saturday. Will try to avert my eyes as we pass TBS.Back for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. I pledge to only buy when I run out of a product that is not already in my stash no matter what wonderful emails land in in my Inbox or threads I read on MSE re: glitches!

One more UU to report: L'occitane Verbena liquid soap. Already have one in stash and opened this am. After that I only have a LE handwash in stash and this will replace the liquid soap in the kitchen. Should be a month or so before I need to buy any more liquid soap.Back for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. John Masters Anti Aging Serum, 2ml - WMBA, i really should invest in a serum! I think my skin likes them!
MONU Collagen Cream, 50g - WNBA as i know i can get same result cheaper but the thickness of this cream has been a godsend over the past week with my skin playing up so badly! Slathered it over my face at night and it really has made a differenceDry skin is clearing up!

Hey guys!
Been quite for the past few days - having a tough time at home. Mum got diagnosed with breast cancer yesterday.........
So far the prognosis looks good - a second biopsy is needed (in 2 wks), then surgery, then radiotherapy. So far its looking like chemo will not be needed - but need to see what the results of the second biopsy bring.
Back on topic - I'm loving this body lotion lark!!!! Skin is silky soft, never ever thought I would see a change soooooo quickly.
opened a Nspa vanilla scrub yesterday (rather than going out and buying one!) I have no idea how long I have had it - it's very runny. But, the plus side is that the grains are very fine and scrubby - like rubbing fine sandpaper over my skin. I'm odd, I like that kind of thing!!!
The new Decleor moisturiser is working wonders - make-up is staying in place all day, no touch up needed. So I'm off to cheap smells to see if they still have it on offer.
Didn't get to do my nails the other day - life took over - so hoping that I can get that sorted latet today.
Hope everyone is having a good Thursday:p

Thinking of you, Scrappie (and glad to see you here today
). The very best wishes to your Mum. It sounds like a hopeful prognosis and I hope that she is cared for brilliantly and it all works out well. What a shock for you all, though
(It's difficult to find the right words
)
I'm glad you're getting on so well with the Decleor moisturiser as it was me that pointed you towards the Cheap Smells sale!I'm using the rose oil that I bought but I haven't tried the mattifying moisturiser or the eye cream yet. I have high hopes for them!
Well done for keeping up with your body lotion mission. I'm glad it's paying off for you (and so quickly!) and I think it's very important that you do nice, soothing things for yourself.

I haven't been keeping up with the thread as well as I'd like and I've missed lots of things I'd like to reply to.
Thank you to everyone that went and looked at my OH talking about his art workI was so pleased that you all liked it! It ended up looking beautifully simple (as it should) but the frame underneath and planning all the different panels of knitting to get all the planes of the rock was incredibly complicated. (And then sewing it all together on site!)
Ems - I'm glad that you had such a lovely birthdayI'd would enjoy your Naked 2 palette. You bought it when Urban Decay were still a 'good', cruelty-free company. It has made me feel odd about the products that I have (I probably have more UD make up than any other brand) but I'm going to use everything up. I won't buy anything else from them unless they reverse their decision
(I definitely would have bought Naked 2 sometime - it looks lovely
I didn't buy Naked 1 as the shades looked too warm for me
)
Connie - thank you for the Superdrug update.I was also surprised it wasn't on their website! Is it an aqueous cream, like E45? Also, is it a general cream or is it for the face? Normally I would be nervous about using something heavy on my face as my skin can go oily. (It's never gone dry like this before ). I found that we had some Oilatum cream (for eczema/itchy skin) so I used some of that yesterday. It made my face shiny (!) but today my skin feels much better. It's not possible to tell if it was the Oilatum or whether it's my skin healing at it's own pace (I think it was a week ago that it flared up). I also found I had a sample pot of a posh but simple Malin + Goetz Vitamin E facial moisturiser (a freebie from a while ago) and I used that overnight, so it's possible that helped as well. I'm still finding that even gentle cleansing sets it off again though...
