I may have to give that a try have some in the stash from a beauty box I've been getting some really dry patches near my shoulders. It got really irritated at work but found some green balm (fantastic stuff) in my bag and that soothed it and have now put loads of body lotion on, I'm hoping that will work. If not will get the figs and rouge balm out.0 -
Hi All. Have returned from a wet camping trip, really cold at times but we still had a good time.
McCulloch - why do some people refer to you as AND??
Fiasco - hope you are getting your place back in order, what a horrible thing to happen.
Just managed to spot this, so sorry Dolly, I wasn't ignoring you. My real name is Andrea, but to most of my immediate family and many net friends I am 'And'. (And 'Ange' to some friends for reasons I've never worked out.)
I couldn't use 'And' as my username on here, and chose mcculloch29 as it's my highly unimaginative username on other places too. For someone who cherishes original thinking I sure as heck didn't employ much when thinking up this!
Back on topic:- I placed my Avon order and will have some ins in about 10 days but will probably need them by then too, plus one is a product I don't have.Erma Bombeck, American writer: "If I had my life to live over again... I would have burned the pink candle, sculptured like a rose, that melted in storage." Don't keep things 'for best' - that day never comes. Use them and enjoy them now.0 -

Oh, I see now.
I have a uu, Sanctuary Spa hand cream, wba, this is really nice, has their usual fragrance which I really like. Have replaced it with a massive Ikea handcream from the stash. This is 250ml so I will be using it as foot cream too and will save my n'spa peppermint foot cream for hot days (yeah right). I also have a part used BS hemp hand cream but have put it aside for winter when hands need a bit more tlc.
Went to M&S yesterday for Fathers's Day presents and they have a new make up range out which the pixiwoo girls have been raving about, I had a look but more interestingly they were selling all their previous brand make up half price. So of course I have ins
2 x Eye brightening pencils - pink pencil for the water line, think benefit do something similar but these were £3 each.
Eye primer - have tried it today so will see how my shadow wears during the day, think this was £3 or £3.50.
Also used a no7 voucher for a lip brush which was £2 after discount, had to buy some cotton pads and some cotton wool and ended up with another voucher.Debt Free and now a saver, conscious consumer, low waste lifestyler

Not really on topic, but I was reading what Willowbee was saying about dry itchy skin recently, and thought I'd mention
Superdrug's Dry Skin Itch Relief Cream.
Really does stop the itch fast; not expensive; and moisturises well too.0 -
bought some LIB samples as free delivery at the mo,Liz Earle 30mls polish and cleanse for £3.....er yes I know have just sold the same thing but got £5.65 for it:rotfl:plus some other sample whose name escapes me(age thing:rotfl:)
headache almost gone now thankfully and am spending the afternoon gardening and trying not to think about work and being told off for following regulations!!!!0 -

UU Sanctuary body butter 50ml WBA love the scent of this and rubs in easily.
UU S&G Glad hair day shampoo WMBA if I couldnt get hold of any other SLS free shampoo as I do love the scent of it and it does leave my hair nice but my scalp doesnt like it as it does tend to itch a bit.
I have been slathering on lip stuff to try and get my lips better after the blistex disaster, the swelling has now gone but they are rather sore and red and itchy. My girls used the blistex balm and none of them have had a reaction, guess I am just getting sensitive in my old age!0 -

Connie - thank you for thinking of meThankfully my skin has calmed down a bit. It's not quite back to normal but I've been using the most gentle products I have (a cream cleanser and facial oils) and the redness has gone and it no longer itches (thank goodness! :rotfl:) I will definitely go and look at the cream though (virtually, for now) as it sounds like a very useful skincare emergency kit item!
I really want to try the mineral powder again but as it's my no.1 suspect for what happened maybe I should leave it for a few more days...
Rosemary - I'm so glad to hear that you're feeling better
Alton Towers - I hope your poor lips recover asap. Your daughters were brave to try the lip balm after what happened to you :eek:0 -

Yes, I know what you mean - I often feel like that about clothes and wish I could start from scratch and have a small number of items that could be mixed and matched to get different looks. Not very MSE though to empty the wardrobe and start again....No UUs but more importantly no INs either. Day 12 and still no spend on toiletries. I did buy 2 x YC votives today though - I think the fragrance is called Love me, Love me not.
Keep meaning to ask all you YC fans how you get the jars to burn evenly - I have tried everything - the first time I use them I make sure that the wax is completely melted across the top, I trim the wicks, I have tried not trimming the wicks, I have tried with a shade and without a shade but every 2nd use, no matter how long I let it burn for I end up with a pool of wax in the middle and solid wax round the edges. Any tips gratefully received on what I am doing wrong here as they emphasise on the Q how evenly they burn.
Now 2 more UUs to declare
Jo Hansford everyday shampoo 50ml size - loved the smell of this but not sure it did anything special for my hair. Liked the fact it had no parabens in it but wouldn't rush out to re-purchase. Gone back to LE one now but that isn't a HG either.
Liz Earle gentle face exfoliater 50ml - WBA again as this is one of my favourite scrubs - it has just the right amount of scrubbiness in it - not too scratchy but feels like it is doing something when I am using it. WBA when I run out of face exfoliators. Found a small 15ml tube of this so am going to UU that next.0
