Soap and Glory Scrub Your Nose in it facial scrub and mask: WNBA waaay too strong to use as a mask, it really burns my skin! The grains are too fine as well, I prefer a chunkier scrub. A real chore to use up, but finally did it. Moved on to a Sanctuary one which is lovely and warms up on application. Feels very decadent! I won it along with a matching facial oil (HG!) in a raffle but a bit pricey to buy normally so I'll really relish using it!

I have this in use as well, totally agree with your comments. I too am over the S&G hype. :cool:Life is a coin, you can spend it anyway you wish, but you can only spend it once.
Go as far as you can see, and when you get there you'll see further.
Take time but don't waste time0 -
IN: No 7 eye make-up remover.
[Finally got round to buying this with a £5 voucher so it was only £2.25. This means I can finally get round to using my eye mousses as this is the only eye make-up remover that actually removes those!]ISA savings: £25,139 Other Savings: £1750 (tied up in bond)0 -
I have a quick question - my skin has gone itchy (just my face). It has been like this for two or three days, so I don't think it's my new moisturiser. It feels dry as well. Does dry skin often feel itchy?? It's driving me a bit crazy...:o (I'm trying to leave it alone though it's so tempting to pile products on which might fix it . I'll prob put rosehip oil on it tonight.)
Yes, Willowbee, before joining this challenge I used to get very dry skin on my shins during winter. It itched like fury, so that could well be it. Since moisturising after every shower I've not had that problem.
I thought your hiding the box contents that you typed in by choosing white on white that could be highlighted was very clever. :T
I am pleased you found the cream you mislaid - you were up so late looking for it!
I had a very quick and nicely worded response from Garnier to my email expressing my disappointment over the packaging of the Intensive 7 Day Gel Cream.
Dear
Thank you for your e-mail. I am sorry to learn of your experience with Intensive 7 Day Gel Cream.
I would like to assure you that all of our products are thoroughly researched and tested before entering the marketplace to ensure they are fit for purpose.
Before entering the marketplace the packaging for all of our products is thoroughly researched and tested to ensure it is fit for the purpose for which it has been designed. It is disappointing when one of our consumers tells us that their expectations have not been met.
Thank you for bringing this matter to my attention. Your comments will be passed on to the relevant department.
Best regards,
Lorna Burton
I doubt if anything will be done, but if any of you are in the market for a decent body cream, do go for it and see if you agree with me! It really is a very, very good product and spoiled by awkward packaging.Erma Bombeck, American writer: "If I had my life to live over again... I would have burned the pink candle, sculptured like a rose, that melted in storage." Don't keep things 'for best' - that day never comes. Use them and enjoy them now.0 -
And - I think that's a good response from Garnier (and fast, too). I have to say that their "thorough" research and testing clearly didn't go as far as ensuring that people could actually get the body lotion out of the bottle! Fail! :rotfl:It would be interesting to know how many complaints they'd need before they redesigned? (Surely they could just switch to one of their other bottle shapes?)
I wrote two strongly worded emails to Urban Decay about their move from being Cruelty Free and into animal testing (so they can enter the Chinese market). I was surprised to get a reply to one but felt so sorry for their customer service team (they must be having a hellish time) that I was careful to say that my comments weren't directed at her but the 'higher ups' that made the decision. (Keeping this mild as I love our happy board)
The white text idea is great but I can't claim the credit - I borrowed it from the beauty box board. I'm glad that you liked it
My face has calmed down a little but only thanks to :heartpuls:heartpuls:heartpulsaloe vera :heartpuls:heartpuls:heartpuls I had put mineral powder on to try and soothe my skin (and so I'd leave it alone) but when I removed it (with almond oil) I looked like a flipping lobster!! Itchy red horribleness! Bumps! Burning! I think it was an allergic reaction to something and my no.1 suspect is actually the Arden Mineral Powder.:mad::mad: Aloe Vera and rosewater with a bit of glycerin are gradually putting the fire out. (I've never had this kind of a reaction before...)
Definitely time for bed. At least I'm not hunting orange pots tonight! :rotfl:0 -
Good to hear you face has calmed down Willowbee - The dangers of our UU quest here sometimes can be very painfull.
And - good feedback on the email. I like when a company does take the time to respond to feedback.
I returned home today to find my flat has been flooded by upstairs :eek::eek:. I got in the door to find a plummer's card informing me that they had turned off my water!!! They didn't even bother to check upstairs. Anyway, I got a hold of my neighbour and recalled the plummer's and found the source - a faulty valve in the ensuite toilet systern. This means that since Thursday evening water has been pouring down that back of my neighbours ensuite and into my flat and the girl's downstairs (who alerted the factor). I have spent the day vaxing water out my bedroom carpet and emptying the dehumidifier. The water damage is extensive - my bedroom, ensuite, hall and living room have giant seepage marks with some water feature constantly dripping down. The walls and ceilings have paintwork hanging off them with some bubble texture. I am gutted _pale_. Called the insurance who will be in touch on Monday to follow up. The plummer reckons I won't have any trouble getting this sorted through them but I am just so upset about the damage and the ensuing disruption.
Anyway back OT
UU No7 Body Wash - WNBA purely on the price. It is far too expensive for what it is. It did lather well and smelled lovely but I can get that elsewhere for a lot less.

hi rosemary, what LE make up did you receive? Would love to know how this compares with other brands.SansPareil wrote: »Seriously I've tried so much of their stuff and there are only a few pieces I'd buy again (Breakfast Scrub, Fab Pore and Slimwear). Not impressed.
I'm the same but those pieces that I would buy again I do love ie Sugar Crush scrub, Flakeaway, Righteous Butter, Calm One Calm All. The body butters that they produced under their Spa range were also lovely however I don't know if they still produce these. Saying that, apart from Sugar Crush I don't go out of my way to buy S&G unless it's on a really good offer ie the OOTW but like you there are so many pieces that I don't like that I wouldn't buy one of these again. The last one that I bought was Christmas 2010 - I was still using products from this when Christmas 2011 arrived and by then I'd decided that I would not use most of the products in the 2011 kit. I suppose if you love the fragrance you will love all the products.Back for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. I pledge to only buy when I run out of a product that is not already in my stash no matter what wonderful emails land in in my Inbox or threads I read on MSE re: glitches!
