Wow - you lot can natter - I went to my sisters on Weds for a few days with my DDs and have just got back and caught up on the thread - phew what a marathon but some great UUs from everyone.
I did have an accidental IN - I forgot to take my book to read so bought a Red magazine with free Jemma Kidd mascara - I did look for a Glamour mag to try a Benefit goodie but none to be seen anywhere.Let me know when you all have your Amarya Boxes wanting to post my ins
My Amarya box always seems to arrive a day after everyone else'sbut go ahead and post as I don't mind knowing what is coming my way - it sounds like I won't be adding too much to my INs as I don't count sachets.
No more UUs yet but have some splutterers so hopefully will have more soon.0 -
Right here are my ins
First holiday ins
I Love Strawberries and Milkshake bubble bath 500ml - we had one really cold day and really wanted a soak in a hot bubble bath but forgot to bring any.
Superdrug Aloe Vera Mud Mask 75ml - again something i forgot and felt I needed
Benefit The Porefessional 7.5ml - bought another copy of glamour to get as have been using this a lot and is very good value buying with glamour.
Amarya box ins posted in white
Santaverde Aloe Vera Cleansing Gel 100ml
John Masters Vitamin C anti-aging Face Serum 2ml
Iroisie Ultimate BB Cream 1ml0 -
So some UUs for me:
Soap and Glory Scrub Your Nose in it facial scrub and mask: WNBA waaay too strong to use as a mask, it really burns my skin! The grains are too fine as well, I prefer a chunkier scrub. A real chore to use up, but finally did it. Moved on to a Sanctuary one which is lovely and warms up on application. Feels very decadent! I won it along with a matching facial oil (HG!) in a raffle but a bit pricey to buy normally so I'll really relish using it!
Penhaligons Ellenisia Bath Oil 100ml: WBA. So nice. So expensive. Eking it out to the last drop. Definitely looking forward to poking around in their summer sale.
Soap and Glory Calm One Calm All bubble bath 500ml: WNBA nice and everything but there are cheaper for what it does, nothing special. So over the S&G hype.
Seriously I've tried so much of their stuff and there are only a few pieces I'd buy again (Breakfast Scrub, Fab Pore and Slimwear). Not impressed.0 -
An out,
Pantene shampoo sample- It was OK, but it was only a shampoo IYKWIM?
Hope everyone is well, need to catch up!0 -
Hi All,
I've a tiny IN today which is Benefit That Gal off Glamour freebie, couldn't find this one anywhere so bought it off Ebay, only cost me 99p extra so was quite happy with that. Think its mean though that people just buy them all to Ebay, if they don't want them they should leave them for others that do! That said they won't have made a profit off this one as the postage was £2.20 and they only charged £1 for that so by my reckoning they were around £1.50 out of pocket with that and Ebay/Paypal fees. There's still plenty of the mascara and POREfessional in a shop by me but no That Gal to start with, I think they must have been the lower percentage as well as the one that most people wanted.
I've two UU from this morning also:
Clarins self tanning instant gel - I've some pretty strongly formed opinions on this one - there are some clear postives and minuses! First impressions are its smell is fairly un-chemically and smells a little citrussy, like grapefruit perhaps. Its not tinted which is a negative as you obviously like to see where its going! I don't know where the 'instant' part of the name comes in as its not instant, it develops overnight and continues the following day.
It is a very natural colour for a self tan without being too dark which is its main plus but value for money is poor, its £17.50 and only lasted me two all over applications. Now I'm not petite by any means but a small bottle of St Tropez mousse will last me at the very least double that.
Also a major design flaw it is being a thick gel in a tube rather than a tub, I spent most of the second application last night lopping sections off the tube off to get to the next bit. Could do better, overall still cheaper and less humiliating than going for a spray tan but a bit faffy and expensive none-the-less. Maybe would BA if I needed to look tanned but not in an obvious way for a wedding or something similar.
Other UU is my beloved Chanel Mademoiselle which I love, love, love and was sorry to see go. That said you do still get a little buzz from a UU and I need to rack them up as much as possible this month so I don't go into negative figures. Will most definitely BA at some point.
Well ladies I'm very excited! :j My OH is taking me away for the weekend for my birthday, he's not very good at keeping secrets however and I think, unless I'm very much mistaken, that we're going to stay in the hotel where my sister got married last year in Southport. It is really lovely, they have a spa there, he has warned me I might have to take my clothes off! :rotfl: I presume he wasn't propositioning meand may have booked me a massage :T
Tonight I've got to clean up and pack, he's on a late shift so I can manage that all with minimal disruption. Fingers crossed for a change in the weather, its done nothing but rain here today and I've been soaked a couple of times.
Have a lovely weekend everyone.

Ooooh! Happy birthday for this weekend, Ems! That sounds like a lovely way to spend a weekend. What a thoughtful OH you have :T
My new(ish) aim for this challenge is to have perfume as my 'reward' for hitting big targets (I'm waiting for 100 UUs before I can use my Elie Saab perfume but I'm only up to something like 61I might have to start counting sachets!
). In my fantasy future, when I'm a super-minimalist (hahaha! :rotfl:) I will have a small collection of HG skincare, make up and body care but I'll still keep several perfumes as a spritz of a fave perfume is an easy/fast/reliable way to cheer myself up
I hope you have a really special weekend0 -

How many of these sachets do you have?? :rotfl:(V lucky to have a good supply of them)
I have a quick question - my skin has gone itchy (just my face). It has been like this for two or three days, so I don't think it's my new moisturiser. It feels dry as well. Does dry skin often feel itchy?? It's driving me a bit crazy...:o (I'm trying to leave it alone though it's so tempting to pile products on which might fix it . I'll prob put rosehip oil on it tonight.)0
