I think mine was an energy saving lightbulb! You know how when you turn them on they are quite dim and then after a while they get brighter and brighter?? :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Well a very spendy day for me today.
Took the sprogs to get their hair cut. Fringe trim for myself and DD and a short back and sides for DS. He has never had his hair that short and is very proud of it. Then I went to Bokwa which was another 5euro.
After lunch (which we had at home) we went to Ikea & on the way had to get new window wipers and a new bulb for the front lights, another 60euro. We spent 55euro in Ikea but it was for much needed storage, bins etc. Basically things to make our life a whole lot easier. It's quite hard with OH as he wanted to buy this, that and the other but I told him no and am glad I stuck to my guns. He did buy a rice steamer but it will be well used.
Then we went to the cafe in Ikea. Myself and OH just got a drink and cake but we let the kids have their dinner. It is very cheap but that was another 13euro.
And now I need to go online and buy some personalised coasters. That is for 2 of the occasions I declined to go to though so I would have spent a whole lot more.
One thing I am learning to do is not to buy things too much in advance. For example, I need to buy my niece a birthday present and I tend to buy a good bit in advance because I am organised. But her birthday isn't until mid-March and I have so many other things to get there is no need for me to purchase that until payday February as really it is false economy as it leaves me with a lot less money.Total (Aug 19):€58,567 Now:€26,947

Ah no way Dinah. I did buy them last night  Raging now, I thought it was mugs you did, didn't realise it was other things too. Can you put the link up or PM me it as I have lots of birthdays and occasions coming up so more than happy to use your business.

Mostly mugs because they're what sells but we also do magnets, coasters, metal signs/pictures, tshirts, babygrows, placemats... basically anything we can stick an image on. Our website STILL isn't finished which is a bit of a bone of contention, but I'm going to try to put a listing on etsy for customised versions of our products in the next few days so people can see our full range.Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

Ooh bit of a spendy day but I think you did brilliant in the swedish shop if you didn't pick up a load of stuff you don't actually need too!!! We usually have lunch there too if we have one of the kiddies with us as it's pretty reasonable and actually fills them so they eat less during the rest of the day then too.
Good idea to put off buying niece's present until feb. Unless it's a good deal there isn't really point to leaving yourself short.

So a NSD for me today. Brought home made Gazpacho in for lunch. Wrong season I know but it is so good for you and I love the taste of it. Will make it once a week I think as I'm the only one that likes it and it lasts 3 days for lunch, plus can freeze some!
Am hoping that my pay goes through okay on Thursday without any hiccups so I can make a payment to my credit card. Am dying for it to get under 5k. Next target will be under 4k although I don't see that happening until possibly the end of March.
I am working on a back month so paying what I have left over from December this month rather than paying off a whack of January's wages and then having to use my credit card towards payday in February. When I have worked out what is realistic to pay off each month I can then pay it off at the start of the month, while still giving myself some breathing space for any emergencies.
I think it might be wise for me to save €100 a month for any unforeseen things cropping up in the next few months. Saves me from having to dip into the credit card and if it goes untouched I can always pay it off the credit card in a lump sum.Total (Aug 19):€58,567 Now:€26,947

That's a good plan, people want a clear idea of what they *can* order (as opposed to wondering if it's something you can do...) and they want to know how much it'll cost without having to go to all the effort of getting in touch and asking! With that said.... I may be in the market for a mousemat and a couple of coasters at some point. I've moved desks at work and want to cheer up my little area.
Well done for not getting carried away in Ikea CMD! It's so easy to pick up things because they're there and oh-so-tempting! I don't think I've ever come out with *just* the item I went for!Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!Goal Weight 140lb Starting Weight: 160lb Current Weight 145lb0
