Well done for getting below £17k! :T
Don't worry about it being 'slow' progress, IMO you're paying it off with truly impressive speed! Nearly £8k paid off this year and we're not even halfway through! Amazing! :TOvercome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!Goal Weight 140lb Starting Weight: 160lb Current Weight 145lb0 -
Another £50 paid off, just by tidying up my accounts a bit. It really is to the wire this month but I really want to get that credit card back to a 0% rate. If I can do that I can pay off OH's credit card, meaning we only have one UK credit card laeft, on a 0% until May 2014. As our mortgage rate is so low at the moment we can leave the surplus to clear off the UK card and then we can concentrate on getting rid of the Irish cc and saving for a house.Total (Aug 19):€58,567 Now:€26,947

Thanks Abba and Alioops
Well sold my iCandy so that's another £550 off the credit card. I think I should be able to pay it off by the end of June and then avail of the 0% transfer. I will have to borrow off my overdraft to do this though do my sig will probably stay the same or only decrease a little bit. Then with June's wages I should be able to pay the end of OH's credit card when the transfer is done and then we will be left with my BOI card, my Virgin card and my overdraft.Total (Aug 19):€58,567 Now:€26,947

Feeling a bit *flat* today
Don't know why. I guess some days the debt gets to me more than others. It's the last thing I think of at night, that's for sure.
One thing I am sure of is that I am so proud of us for not booking any holidays abroad this year. Our LBM has well and truly kicked in I think. This will be the first time I haven't been on a foreign holiday for about 17 years so it is a big thing for me!Total (Aug 19):€58,567 Now:€26,947

You're bound to have the odd 'flat' day CMD, it's a long, hard slog but it will be worth it in the end!
I'm really proud of you for not caving and booking a holiday too! Really well done! :T Hope you manage to have some fun family time together.
Have you got any nice plans for the weekend?Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!Goal Weight 140lb Starting Weight: 160lb Current Weight 145lb0 -

I am really proud of myself too! It is huge restraint on my part not to put it on the credit card! I do need to try and cut back in other areas of my life though, as I am quite the impulsive buyer, especially where the kids are concerned.
No major plans for the weekend but that is a good thing as the past few have been really busy. I am looking forward to my lie-in on Sunday!
