So embarrassing!!!!!!!

Right, this is my last resort otherwise I'm going to just scream.

About 3 months ago, I got a small boil on my inner thigh near the top where my pantyline by the base of my bum cheek. Ive had these small boils on and off for as long as I can remember and generally they go within 3 days.

The one I had 3 months ago was very painful and bigger than most. Anyway, I applied some sudocrem and it's calmed down.

Yesterday, I felt a bump there again. Today I am unable to sit properly, and I have radiating pain from it. It also feels like a very tight cluster of boils all red and angry. Nothing has a head on it and I've read everywhere not to squeeze or poke about. Its just the most depressing thing.

I've had to tell my boufriend about it as I really can't haves sex or even move at a normal speed, and he's been so understanding but I am dying of embarresment.

It's the most painful thing in the world. at work today I lied and said I'd hurt my hip last night cleaning so I wouldn't have to tell them.

I've tried to make a doctors appointment and the closest they can give me is the 15th of June  which I've booked so I can discuss these with them anyway.

I was tempted to go to a walk in clinic until the following information was given over the phone

1. 2-3 hour wait on plastic chairs  I can't sit on them, and I can't stand for more than 5 minutes!!
2. If they feel it's an 'angry' boil, they will lance it there and then. Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh. This terrifys me!!!

So I've resorted at buying some savlon and some bandage dressing things and sitting still for the rest of the evening. I have work in the morning (desk job) and Dred the pain.

Just wondering if anyone has any ideas that are cost effective or quick to try and speed up healing. I just feel like crying.

I've had them on my vagina in the past (although MUCH smaller) and I have a couple of scars! I'm really worried this will leave a massive crater. I know my boyfriend really wouldn't care, but I do! Any help would advice on whats helped you would be great!!!

No advice from me I'm afraid but just wanted to give you a big hug - you sound really fed up.
    Hope they get better soon

    Hi

Have you tried a pharmacist ? My hubby had something similar on his bum. He didn't want to go so I had to, had to describe in detail what it was like. They gave me some cream for it, which certainly helped ease it. It certainly maybe worth a try. However you do need to get it seen, and believe me they will have seen it all before, believe me I used to work in out of hours healthcare !

    Bigs hugs

Thanks trigge. I was trying to get some drawing out salve from the chemist but they said they don't sell any anymore!!! Going to buy some off amazon, but it'll take a week to turn up :(

The chemist said savlon may help as it is an antiseptic so I'll hope and pray its a bit better in the morning!!

There's some stuff you can get which draw out the infection - I will try and remember what it's called. In the meantime you could try pressing a hot flannel which has been soaked in salted water against it for 10 mins or so.
  • Be careful - a friend of mine had a similar sounding problem and ended up in hospital as it got infected. He needed a small operation. Manuka honey has been suggested to him??

Sorry just read your reply, maybe worth asking about something like magnesium sulphate which helps draw

Oh you poor thing. Tbh, I know that it is embarrasing but you should either go to the walk in centre or insist on an earlier appointment at the doctors. You can't stay in all of that pain and discomfort.

Why not run a bath and pop a capful of savlon in it. Maybe a soak would help (but sit on a rubber ring).
