have to laugh at exams.

You have to laugh in class exams. People go racing off writing answers at a speed of about 15 mins per 2 sides. They just show no evidence of thinking before writing or plans.

It is comical to me anyway as I do not write more than 2 sildes in a whole hour. I must have got past the fast writers entry test:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

I used to come out of every exam thinking I must have done really badly because I barely filled 4 sides and most people were asking for spare booklets etc. It used to really get me down. I got a first class in the end though- just shows it's quality not quantity etc etc.

I always write a plan for every essay answer, but you should be writing more than 2 sides an hour, shouldn't you? We are expected to write more than that...as although quality matters more than quantity, theres just no way you can fit in all the detail that needs to be covered...particularly if you are only writing 2 sides an hour.
One thing...that sets pulses racing...that gets hearts pounding...for which there is no substitute...only YOU can provide...blood.

Only 5% of the eligible population give blood: do something amazing today, save a life, give blood
  • I never used to write a plan for an essay. Personally it didn't help me and it tended to take a lot of time. People have different styles and just diving straight in works for some and not for others

But speed of writing should not matter as exams are not testing writing speed.

Because It is strange how people jump straight into an answer without even gathering their thoughts.

On the subject, of speed of writing in exams, if an exam simple tests your ability to write fast then it is not really assessing wat you have learnt is it?

Not at all as my argument was people seem to jump in with out a second to consider the question.
