Popped into my local Tesco Extra store yesterday and spotted a Canon PIXMIA MX525 wireless air printer/scanner. Priced at £99 but still displaying yellow SEL saying £69 with expiry 19/3/14.
Thought I'd try my luck. Paid full price at till then went to CS desk where lady directed me to Electricals. Explained to CS chap who then toddled off back to CS desk and came back with Supervisor. He said to refund me the £30 overcharge.
I then pointed out Tesco's DTD policy displayed on the wall and with eyes rolling he agreed to DTD back.:T
So I now have the air printer for £39 which works a treat with my iphone and iPad. One happy bunny :)

  • Silverside Irish Beef Joints half price from £11kg to £5.50. Found one at full price but with a slightly different barcode (identical packaging and description). Date was 1 day out from the rest. Paid £17.31 and then asked CS why I was charged full price? Totally confused by their explanation and they refused to refund me half the price let alone dtd. To be honest I wasn't even sure it qualified for dtd. I stood my ground and eventually received a refund of £8.65. Once outside I phoned Tesco customer services and asked if I should've received dtd? They apologised and are sending me a moneycard for £9! Free Beef!

I bought two of the climbing plants and the discount didn't come off. They were in the entrance on a big stand labelled as £3 each or two for£5. I was using the hand zapper thingy so knew I couldn't get DTD and couldn't be bothered to do a separate shop just for an extra £1 off, but one maybe to keep an eye open for.
  • I had expired half price SEL for tesco Savoy cabbage for 40p scanned at 80p. DTD given no problem so free cabbage :)

Snazaroo Union Jack face painting kits, paints up to ten faces for just 50p in Tesco.

Picked up two, however they scanned at £5 each (RRP), so I got £18 refunded thanks to DTD.

Be quick before they call round all stores!

P.S - Snazaroo is the best face paint around!

Just got back from Ts, they have yellow sels in the beer aisle stating 3 4 £24 or 2 4 £14, I guessed this was wrong and sure enough they went through at 2 4 £18, as I had put 2 cases in my trolley and 2 in my parents trolley I had £8 back for each receipt so 60 cans for £20. Although I did have too chuckle when she gave me £8 back and then I asked for the money back off the other receipt, she kept telling me that was for both . After I explained their DTD policy she surrendered, and gave me the other £8. Don't know if its local but be quick with this one as they will soon tag on. Well worth a look
