Lovely DTD last night in Mr Ts Leeds R0undhay. Picked up a Helix geometry set. (15cm ruler, set square, protractor and the like) SEL said 10p, scanned at £2.40!

A nice £4.60 per set return.

Customer services never batted an eyelid or went to check the SEL.
  • 3.5 litre Breville slow cooker in my local was back up to £35 but still displaying half price posters - nice free item yesterday, so one that might be worth watching out for!

Saw something like this, or possibly this in Watford.

The SEL was 75p but scanned at £1.30. Of no use to me, but might be nice to stick in party bags.

Pentel Pen set scanning at 1p in Edgbaston, Birmingham. SEL says £4 but some of them scans at £8. Bar code ends 141531. Unfortunately I didn't have the cash to buy them and try the DTD.
You'll have to speak up; I'm wearing a towel

Be very careful with the hula hoops one. There 12x25g packs at £1.43 and the 12x24g packs are £2.86 very confusing an labelled up correctly in Tesco Riverhead.

Wish I'd known about the DTD, I've just bought the 70cl Margarita which had a shelf edge sticker of £1.25 (reduced to clear) which went through at £5.75. I was refunded £4.50 and was happy enough to get it for £1.25 but DTD would have been lovely!

Not sure it's worth making a special trip for as I think in this particular branch (Leatherhead) it had the wrong shelf edge sticker but if anyone is in there anyway maybe worth a check...
    Make £25 a day in April £0/£750 (March £584, February £602, January £883.66)

    December £361.54, November £322.28, October £288.52, September £374.30, August £223.95, July £71.45, June £251.22, May£119.33, April £236.24, March £106.74, Feb £40.99, Jan £98.54) Total for 2017 - £2,495.10

I would assume it's so that Tesco employees who are tasked with finding out what mistakes are being publicised can't find their store by googling on the name. Doubtless some even subscribe to this thread.
Google does seem to pick up new posts on MSE very quickly - not very money saving to make it easy for Tesco to find out their mistakes! :)

Yeah, exactly that. Got used to doing it on other sites. Those sites substitute letters i.e Tosco etc.

Anyone picked up Strawberry Chapsticks? SEL says £1.00 for 24 (individually unwrapped ones usually on till ends/pharmacy counters)

    Overcharged on two wines today.
Tosco Finest Italian d'Abruzzo - SEL 5.99 but charged 7.99

Tosco Finest Italian Sangiovese di Romangna - SEL 5.99 but charged 7.99

Customer service offered to refund the difference, but remembered the Tesco policy when reminded.

This store rarely offers DTD unless really pushed - the policy notice is behind the CS desk in very small red lettering which is difficult to see.

Anyway, CS did not bother to check the offending labels so pickings remain to be had, provided you are prepared to stand your ground at CS. Best way is to take a witness and record things.

The d'Abruzzo matches with an Asda wine at £5 so there is a price comparison kickback too.
